°Chapter Twenty Three°

1924 Words

Students shuffled into the cafeteria in groups that Wednesday morning, carrying their snacks to the square tables. Among them was Tyler McCain and his group of friends, who were oddly and eerily quiet. They fell on their usual table, Wesley sitting far away from Hunter and Tyler making sure he was between the two. He knew the two still weren't getting along and there was no chance of them ever getting along. Tyler dug a hole in his yoghurt to insert a straw and immediately started sipping on the strawberry - flavored yogurt. Hunter was doing a vanilla icecream for the short tea break. Wesley, on the other hand, didn't have much of an appetite. He still hadn't devoured on the muffins and milkshake. Wesley's world was crumbling and there seemed to be nothing he could do to save himself.
