Nina Locke kept pacing around from corner to corner inside The Kingsville Hospital, her hands dug in her hair and her heart pounding faster and louder against her chest. She was scared to death for her mom, who had not yet gotten up.
Tyler and Wesley came as soon as they could and they found her standing at the reception area looking restless, just outside her mom's ward.
"How is she?" Ty asked. "Is she okay? Is she up?"
"Not yet..." she said in a low tone, her face grim, with terror and frustration.
Her younger brother, Nate, sat at the hospital bench, his hands crossed tight against his chest.
