The Law Firm

chapter one:

Emma's day started out like any other day. she woke at 6am,showered,got dressed, made breakfast for herself and her cat Felix. she left for work dead on 8am. she took the subway but this day it was so overcrowded, she got off at the platform closest to her work.

checked her watch. "9am"!! she shrieked.

she rushed around the platform running towards the stairs until she tripped on the most shiniest looking shoes she had ever seen. "excuse me young lady,are are OK?" Daniel said while he held his hand out for Emma to grab onto to help her up. she looked up and thier eyes met. they glanced at each others eyes for one more moment until the audience pushed passed sending Emma in a trance. she could no longer see the handsome man she had just met. feeling a little sad and discouraged she continued her way into work.

"morning Sam" Emma briefly said to the receptionist as she sprinted into the lift.

she walked over to her office opened the door and sat in her chair. she got out her mirror to fix her hair and make-up.

Tommy appeared in the doorway with a coffee.

Tommy was around the same age but he enjoyed the company of men and those he identified as men.

"ooo it's not like you to be late,spill the beans sister. " Tommy said while he flicked his hands.

"the train was quite busy this morning that was all" Emma lied.

Tommy went through all of Emma's meetings for the day. Emma sat there daydreaming of the handsome man she encountered on the platform this morning.

"earth to Emma, are you listening?" Tommy shouted while clicking his fingers in her face.

"yes sorry " she replied.

time passes on and she walks out of her office to find her meeting. as she walks passed a all glass office she stood for a moment as she caught the glimpse of those shiny shoes for the second time today. she waited a minute longer. the gentleman turned around and it was him!

thier eyes lock again while Daniel winks and continues with his meeting. Emma follows the corridor even further to her meeting room and starts setting up. distracted and daydreaming...
