As Alexander guided me through the main dining area of The Silver Moon Restaurant, his hand rested firmly on the small of my back. The pressure was both reassuring and commanding, a silent claim in front of the entire pack.
The quiet hum of conversations dulled to whispers as we passed table after table. Heads lowered respectfully, some even bowing slightly out of instinct under the weight of Alexander's dominant Alpha aura. His presence demanded submission, and no wolf in the room dared hold his gaze for long.
I felt their stares still, though. They weren’t looking at him—they were looking at me. Judging me. Murmuring under their breaths about the Luna who hadn’t been publicly acknowledged in so long.
My chest tightened.
