I watched as Grace entered the room, her posture tense but controlled. She didn't sit immediately, instead scanning the room as if deciding whether to trust her surroundings.
Her violet eyes finally landed on me, sharp and accompanied by a weight of unspoken questions.
Her tone was cool and to the point. "Let’s not waste time, James. Why has my mother’s healing grounds been transferred to your sister—your fourteen-year-old sister at that?"
Her directness didn’t surprise me. After all, Grace wasn’t just the Luna of the Crimson Moon Pack; she was a healer with a lineage steeped in authority.
"I anticipated your concern about that." I gestured for her to sit, maintaining an air of calm professionalism despite the tense undercurrent. "
