I froze as Alexander's furious growl washed over me. Never in our years together had I seen such raw, primal rage in his golden eyes. His wolf was close to the surface, and for a terrifying moment, I thought he might tear me apart with his Alpha fangs.
"Alexander?" I tried again, keeping my voice sweet despite my racing heart. "What's wrong, darling?"
His entire body trembled with fury. The blood coating his hands made my wolf stir with excitement beneath my skin. I recognized that scent immediately. Grace's blood.
