(Victoria's POV)
I paced back and forth in my apartment, the walls seeming to close in with every step. The cold gray light seeping through the curtains mirrored the frustration boiling in my chest.
Alexander. His every action lately seemed to orbit her.
Grace. The name tasted bitter on my tongue. She’d wormed her way into his life, into his pack, into his thoughts. And now, she seemed poised to utterly replace me.
I clenched my fists, nails digging into my palms. My carefully cultivated image—the fragile beauty he once adored, the woman who sacrificed so much for him—meant nothing now. No matter how many times I cried, no matter how many episodes I staged, his attention always returned to her.
