As soon as Sarah left the room, the click of the shutting door echoing faintly behind her, I turned to face Alexander. His imposing frame leaned back against his desk, stiff and unmoving, as though he was already bracing for an argument.
"We need to talk about Victoria," I said, keeping my tone firm but careful. My heart pounded in my chest, still rattled from everything—the pendant, the crystal, and the weight of his decisions.
