My hands trembled slightly as I dialed Helena's number. The news of Victoria's claimed pregnancy was still burning in my mind, threatening to spill over in the form of tears I refused to shed.
Helena answered almost immediately, her voice surprisingly cheerful. "Grace, dear! I was wondering when you'd call."
"Helena," I managed, trying to keep my voice steady. "How are you feeling today?"
