Kalahari.
I gradually opened my eyes .
I was definitely in a hospital room ,the scent , the stillness , was sufficient proof . I had bandages around my wrists.
Someone stood by the window , his head down , his back facing me .
I tried to sit up. My stomach was empty as my throat was slightly dry. He turned around.
" Kalahari" Fero called .
He came to where I laid and hugged me .
" I am here , I am so sorry" he mumbled .
His clothes were bloody red ,as if he had laid on a bloodstained floor.
Last thing I recall I was inside the bathtub . Thinking how I would be travelling home .
Anna walked in holding two cups of coffee .
" she's awake " Fero announced heartily.
" what day is it?" I asked.
" Friday" Fero said.
