Mia jerked her eyes open, the room was dark and she was alone. Sitting up, she felt sick, but nothing came up. She forced her legs to the side of the bed. She wanted to know what happened, the last thing she remembered was being with her Dad, he was unconscious.
Opening the door, the bright light greeted her. Walking down the hallway she made her way to the kitchen. It was empty, the entire house was quiet. She wasn’t sure what happened, maybe she scared them away and they were hiding from her.
Walking to the fridge, she grabbed some milk. Sitting at the kitchen table, drinking her milk, it seemed to help some. She decided she wanted some fresh air. Opening the door, she heard voices.
