“I promise I won't read everything you think about,” Shane said half smiling. “But I will when I feel like you are scared. I don’t want you to feel scared.”
“Thanks, Shane.” She said kissing him. “I am scared about what tomorrow will bring us, but in the end, I have to make sure we are strong especially since we have a pretty big role to play now. Not just for our child, but our people.”
“Geez, you are starting to sound all grown up,” Shane said sticking his tongue out at her. “I am loving it. I know we are going to be fine. I wish things were a little different but we cannot change what has happened. We will take care of the Clans, and we will make sure the vampires are dealt with as well.”
