Each step seemed to affect the ambience of the room. Then a furious grimace marred his brow. “Tell me, what do you want?” Did she want him to be the father of her illegitimate kid and have the child be the first grandchild of the Greenburg family?
Was the earlier bargain really a tactic to trap him?
The more he thought about it, the more his face darkened.
Ada moved backward till she ran with her hands covering her belly, fearful that William might injure her kid.
“I didn't intend to keep it from you. The marriage was simply a short-term arrangement, and that's why I-I kept it from you. "
William's tone became menacing.
“Oh? Really?”
"This can't be confused. If I think evil ideas, I'll die miserable. If I caused you difficulty, Mr. Greenburg, you could murder me.”
William saw her tiny movement. He looked at her covered stomach then her face.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
Ada trembled and rubbed her chilly, clammy palms on her shirt as she remembered about that night.
"I-I just learned..."
She didn't disclose her hospital exams.
She didn't want William to believe she was lying.
William's expression was black, and he warned.
"Be obedient for three month, or I'll..."
Ada vowed she'd be obedient and be at her disposal if she did anything wrong.
She was already in a tough position, and having another opponent would hurt her chances of getting her stuff back.
William glanced at her as though gauging her veracity.
Knock... They turned to the door and Rose yelled out.
"Breakfast's done."
." I'll see you downstairs."
Ada's legs weakened when William departed.
She rested against the wall behind her and gripped onto a low cabinet. She squatted to pick up the clothing . She cried when she viewed the ultrasound images.
She wiped her face and told herself sobbing was weak.
Her mom and baby needed her. She folded and carried the photo.
She changed and went downstairs. The dining area was vacant and only a coffee cup plate. William finished eating and went.
Ada was relieved she wouldn't be forced to see William. She ate dinner at the table.
Then Ada departed. She told her mother she'd visit soon since Elizebeth would worry.
Elizabeth met her at the door.
“Mom.”
Ada's tone was heavy, and she wouldn't speak.
"He's lovely. Don't worry.” Eliza beamed.
Ada huggedElizabeth.
She didn't intend to, but she was too tired after convincing William she meant him no harm. Elizebeth felt her daughter's fatigue.
"Sleep if you're exhausted." She wasn't weary but wanted to sleep.
Elizebeth brought Ada beef once she sat down. "I cooked your favorite beef."
Ada ate her mother's beef. She loved the sweet and sour flavor.
When she smelled the odor, her stomach churned. She couldn't contain her moan.
"Ugh...Ada." Ada covered her mouth and ran to the bathroom, where she threw up.
Elizebeth worried and followed Ada.
When Elizebeth witnessed her daughter's response, she paled.
Elizebeth didn't believe it since herl daughter had never had a boyfriend.
"What's wrong?"
Ada tensed and clutched her sink-mounted fists.
Ada looked to her mother.
“I'm pregnant.”
Elizebeth lost her equilibrium and stepped back, shocked.
Elizebeth's accident-related procedure was costly, and so were her son's funeral costs.
Ada told Elizebeth she got money from the offender's insurance before releasing her from the hospital.
Ada's silence revealed her falsehoods.
Elizebeth's heart broke, and she didn't trust the facts.
"Don't sell yourself..." Elizebeth took Ada's wrist.
"This baby can't be born. We must go to the hospital before the pregnancy worsens. ”
“Why?” Ada questioned, pulling away from Elizebeth.
"Giving birth will wreck your life!" Her life would change if anybody knew.
"Mom. Ada pleaded,
"Give birth!"
Elizebeth refused Ada's pleas and was determined to stop her.
Elizebeth brought Ada to the hospital.
Elizebeth threatened suicide when Ada wouldn't go.
Abortion needed many testing.
Elizebeth left Ada alone in the hall with her tummy covered while she got the findings.
She sobbed uncontrollably. She felt utterly powerless.
"Yes, William. I just got a fever, don't worry." Jean grins.
She wore a tight skirt over her sshoulders.
... Ada slowly turned to see Jean and William walking down the hall.
Ada felt like a clown since she lost her virginity early, was pregnant, and didn't know the father. Ada observed the two till she lost her composure and was amazed.
A nurse watched in the operating room doorway as a young lady covered her abdomen and said, "If it's a painless abortion, why's it so f*****g painful?" William frowned as he looked at Ada. She'd shown him how much she loved about her kid, so why was she seeking a painless abortion? His wrath grew.
Ada seemed familiar, but she couldn't place her. Jean respected William.
"Here?" Because she got pregnant so young, he thought her private life was untidy.
She offered him motherly affection, yet she had an abortion behind his back.
How cunning! The nurse questioned Ada again,
"Have you considered it through?"
"I've planned."
"Come along."
Ada walked entered the surgery room without glancing around.
The surgery room was closed and secluded. Jean felt worried when she saw William upset over the other lady.
She clutched his arm and whispered. “William.” William was stone-faced. "Go." Jean tightened his armhold. She gazed at the closed OR door and William's response.
She felt familiar, yet he'd never had another lady at his side. She felt sure she was alone.
Who was that woman? What was wrong?
"William, that lady..."
"Forget it, it's unimportant." Jean nodded.
Despite being intrigued, she stopped asking.
Ada flinched at the antiseptic implements in the surgical room. She couldn't abandon her baby. "Lie down."Ada turned and fled.
She was so terrified that she rushed into a guy and a gathering.
"Ada"Jonson believed it was her, but she covered her face, so he asked.
Ada was astonished.
"Why?"Jonson cured Ada's brother's autism. During the therapy, Ada met him.
"I'm here to have a exchange visit."
"You? What's up? You sick?” questioned Dr. Jonson .
Elizebeth ran over with a checklist.
She was astonished when the nurse told her Ada ran gone.
Elizebeth yelled when she spotted Ada.
Ada was about to cry. “Mom…”
Jonson turned to Ada and Elizebeth .
Jonson knew Elizebeth. Dr. Jonson helped pay for her son's treatments when she couldn't afford them.
