He wrapped his arms around her and buried his head in her neck, muttering, "Don't be frightened..." Ada froze. She said gently, "What did you say?" since she couldn't hear him. Ada afterwards fell asleep in bed. Warm light shone through curtain holes. William's eyes opened and eyelashes moved. His all-night sleep made him insensitive to light. He closed and then opened his eyes. When he moved, his arm was pressed. He turned and saw a lady in his armpit. Her black hair was like a waterfall, and her eyelashes looked like butterflies. Her lips were pursed and she breathed steadily. His restlessness was startling. Once he moved, Ada cooed. Her eyelashes and body trembled. She blinked. She noticed a lovely, sculpted face. Still sleeping. She suddenly felt relieved. What if he was awake?
