RYAN POV Ryan saw the curvy petite woman who stood in front of him holding on to the top of a baseball bat with one hand and trying to hold on to the door with her second hand and he was tempted to laugh. He had to admit she was cute. Her messy Brunette hair indicated she must have been sleeping,he felt the strongest urge to tuck back her hair so he could get a better glance at her face but he held back that thought. He didn't get the chance to see her face clearly on her wedding day,he was mostly busy with his phone while she was standing at the garden alter waiting for Max. She decided to drop the bat by the side of the door and adjusted her hair before extending her hands to greet me “ Hi, Mr Pierce it is nice to meet you”. He had guessed right, she was indeed beautiful. Did she just call him Mr Pierce,Ryan stifled his laughter and smirked. For a brief moment he imagined her moaning Mr Pierce as he took her from behind f*****g her hard and fast then decided to behave himself and focus on the woman whose soft tiny hands were engulfed by his large hands “ I think Ryan would be fine”. He said with a smile. “Alright,It is nice to meet you Ryan”. She said as she removed her hand from his and Ryan suddenly missed the warmth of her hands, she made no attempt to move away from the door so he decided to ask politely. “Do you mind if I come in”, Her eyes widen in surprise as she makes room for him to enter inside “ Oh,I am so sorry, sure you are welcome”. Ryan brushed against her as she attempted to move further away from the door,he felt her silky pajamas brush lightly against his suit and his gaze fell on her lips. God she had such sexy lips he wanted suck on them till she was a panting mess. She felt so awkward at his intense brown eyes on her she kept staring around with a little hint of blush on her cheeks, it was adorable to see her a little uncomfortable under his stare. Suddenly her face changed into a frown.“If you are here to see Max,he no longer lives here” she said in an anger laced voice. “Oh no, on the contrary,I am here to see you. Can I take a seat?” I motioned to the sofa and she nodded in response. “I just assumed you came to see your long time friend, so what can I help you with, Ryan?” she asked as she took a seat on the chair next to me. “I would like to propose a……” I was cut off abruptly. “I am so sorry, where are my manners? Would you like a cup of coffee?” Alison asked and I glanced around. Her apartment looked quite empty, there wasn't any kettle on the counter, so I highly doubt she had coffee. “Do you have coffee” I asked. “No”,she whispered. “Then why did you ask?” “Because I was trying to be polite and I thought you would say no” she replied weakly unable to face me from embarrassment. I had to hold back my laughter “ A glass of water is fine”. She came back and handed me a glass of water and asked “ so what did you mean by you had a proposal for me?” “I am here to propose a deal that I think would be of mutual benefit to both of us and before you think about saying no, I would like you to think carefully and weigh your options. How would you like to have your coffee shop back?”.This got her attention, she stared at me like I was an alien from space “How do you know about my coffee shop, are you the anonymous buyer?” Now she was glaring at me with those pretty dark eyes. “ I happened to have crossed path with Patrick today after you left him,he explained your situation to me and to answer your question No Alison,I am not the buyer but I could get it back for you if you wanted it”. She murmured something along the lines of Patrick learning to keep his mouth shut before facing me. “And why would you want to help get my coffee shop back ?” “I never said it was for free, all I said was I had a proposal that would be of mutual benefit to us both if you aren't willing to over complicate things it is simple really,I need you to pretend to be my wife and you get your coffee shop back” She was shocked at my statement, she kept waiting for me to say something but when it registered in her head that I was serious she stood up from her seat and began pacing around “ Oh,you really are serious,I mean what!!! That is ridiculous, why would you need to get married to a stranger to be precise me,it just doesn't make sense? “ Let's just say I have my reasons for wanting to get married and as to why I chose you,When Patrick mentioned your situation to me,I realized we could help each other out like a quid pro quo” I was still calmly seated on the sofa while Alison was all over the place. “It's just …it's just it never crossed my mind that I could be in a situation like this, everything has just been so weird this past week,Max left me at the alter,I found out he sold my coffee shop, and now you bring up this, I mean it is all just so confusing and frustrating, don't you think? ”. Now she is staring at me awaiting a response. “ I understand you must be going through a lot right now but if you think about it,this is an opportunity for you not just to get back your life but to get your vengeance on Max,he would come crawling back if he hears you married a billionaire a month after he dumped you at the alter and you get to have your dream job back, your coffee shop would be yours,if you think about it well, you have nothing to lose here” “But I would be married to you and you don't exactly have a spotless reputation” “Am I sensing judgement from someone who was just recently left at the altar? Besides, what would you know about my reputation”. Now I was getting upset. “I have heard a thing or two from max about your lavish lifestyle and known for breaking women hearts all over Manhattan”. “ And yet the same Max betrayed you in the end so maybe you shouldn't be so quick to believe everything Max tells you”. A heavy silence filled the room, Alison sat back and looked towards my direction before she abruptly responded. “Yes”. What did you just say? “I said yes I accept your deal”.
