Strange things had been happening consistently. Had Selene cast an evil spell on me?
Norman had also been increasingly demanding—his parents too. I just wished I went with the latter. Letting go of him and choosing to walk away… it was all beginning to feel like a prison to me.
But today, I had a reason to celebrate.
Alexa was now alone. Her husband was dead.
I remembered how she had insulted me back at the pack, saying I was only alive because of her. I couldn't share this news with Norman. I feared he might remember, even though I didn't. I also made sure no one spoke about Alexa to him.
"Maids!" I shouted.
"Yes, Your Highness," they bowed as they entered.
"Where is the Alpha, Norman?"
"He's out hunting. The King went with him, and Her Highness went out for a makeover..
