"Sorry, my lady," Jack said as he offered me water.
I quickly gulped down the entire contents. Lucy left her food to help me out.
"Thank you," I muttered slowly.
"So, what do you think about the food?" Lucy asked as she returned to her meal.
"It's really nice and spicy," I retorted.
"So, how much, Jack?" Lucy turned to face him.
"Come on, Lucy, this is on the house."
Lucy huffed. "On the house or on yourself?"
Their friendly banter made me snicker.
"What's your name, my lady?" Jack turned.
I looked at Lucy before wanting to respond, but she stopped me halfway.
"Her name shouldn't be your concern, Jack," she said as she got up to my side. "Anyways, thank you for the free meals," Lucy added as I got up to join her.
"Thank you, Jack," I muttered.
