Chapter 9Nick looked up when he heard someone knocking on his door. He knew who it should be, but he needed to double check. He didn’t have a moral issue with his relationship with Luke. He’d had Luke in a class two years ago, they hadn’t had contact since, and no grooming had taken place. Luke was a consenting adult.
The Dean might raise an eyebrow at the optics anyway. Many colleges and universities were looking askance at any out-of-office contact between undergrads and faculty, regardless of the professional disconnect between them. Nick was smart enough to know his homosexuality would play a role in how the school viewed his relationship with both Luke and Evan, regardless of their feelings on the subject. It shouldn’t be that way, but it was and all three of them knew it.
