Chapter 11Evan shut his laptop with a gentle click. It would have been much more satisfying to slam it shut and shout an obscenity, but laptops were expensive. He could afford to replace the damn thing, but going through the motions to replace it was a pain in the ass. He therefore closed it softly and kept his obscenities internal.
After all, it wasn’t the undergrads’ fault their arguments were so simplistic. Okay, it was partly their fault. History 101 wasn’t intended for people who were already passionate about history and wanted to dig deep into the past. History 101 was for people who needed to fill a requirement for other majors. They wanted to fill the bare minimum requirements and spend their energy on classes that went toward the reason they were actually here.
