The Morning

Showered and ready to find food before heading to the gym she slowly pulls herself into the kitchen. Not much in the fridge. She definitely needs to hit the grocery store. Just grab a Yogurt and an apple, takes a spoon to sit on the barstool that is just outside the kitchen. Still foggy in her mind as she pops open a peach lite yoplait just trying to think. She touchs her phone. Should she text back? There's a knock at the door. It makes her jump as she's wondering who it could be. Looking out the peek hole she sees Stephen! What the hell is he doing here? She didn't even text him back? Slowly opening the door, the look on her face must have been what the hell are you doing here, because his 1st words were, "I was asked to come give you a ride to your car." She was still a little stunned but stepped back to let him in. "Want a cup of coffee?" " Sure, hopefully you have-" he stopped there as she was pouring saying" Folgers." They both sat at the bar. Quiet for a moment. Not quite as talkative without all the liquid courage. " Nice apartment, you live alone?" "Yes, I kind of like it that way. Noone telling you what to do, where to go or worse what to wear." " I can't say as I blame you. I've been divorced twice. So I can definitely appreciate solitude " She thinks to herself, I know he was married to Miller, but who else, she didn't ask. "I've been down a couple bad roads myself , no man, no roommate, I'm good" she said. She picked up the kitchen and stuffed a few things in the dish washer. He was quiet, just watching her. She barely had time to gather her things and Ring *Ring * She didn't look just picked up, Hello a few seconds go by, HELLO! It's starting to bother her that Noone is answering. She hung up, grabbed her bag and left out the door with him behind. So let me grab my shoes and bag for the gym after grabbing her truck. Off they went.
