Regaleon and I were walking side by side. We were a little far from the inner palace but we are still inside the palace grounds.
The sun set just a while ago. The moon was not yet fully out and the sky was full of twinkling stars.
“Here, take my hand.” Regaleon offered me his hand. “You might trip on the way.”
It was getting a bit dark because it was just past twilight. I took his hand that I could only see because it was extended right in front of me.
This wasn't the first time I have held his hand, but it still makes me shy. I heard him chuckle lightly.
“What are you laughing at?” I said shyly. I was glad it was dark or else he would have seen how red my face was by now.
