FOUR

In the middle of the Forest of Linzu, a no coms zone surrounded by level 100 monsters. Two people are standing in front of each other. 

“Is that your real face White or another one of your disguises?” 

“It’s the real deal, you have no reason to be alarmed. I’m not planning on screwing you or anything, after our transaction is over I plan on quitting Genesys all together and enjoy my life.”  White said to the man in front of him. 

The man looked like a real holy knight equipped with the best armor and weapon money can buy. This man’s name is Eric Whales, the beloved son of fortune. Born as a real prince in the real world, he’s been blessed with wealth ever since he was young, he is also pretty good looking. He has everything that Leon wants for his life.

The two of them had a bit of history with one another as Eric is once the former guild leader of Light of Dawn, one of the many guild White screwed over.

Light of Dawn was once considered to be one of the top guilds in Genesys before it was utterly destroyed by Patheon because of White. 

“I wish you good luck on your future endeavors White, I do but I need to have some insurance, you won’t mind right?” Eric said snapping his finger. 

A group of fully equipped people comes out the cover of the trees, surrounding White. 

White immediately recognized the group. They’re Light of Dawn high executives.

Seeing him being surrounded, White remained unconcern. “Overdramatic much. We already established a contract worth more than 100 million no less. It doesn’t matter what country you're a prince of, if you didn’t honor the contract, Neo will come after you”

“So what? We just have to kill you after the contract has been finalized. For what you did to our guild, we’re going to continue killing you even after you go back to level zero” Said Frank one of the former executives 

Frank is an 8-foot man completely covered with muscles, he carries an enormous ax as big as a human being on his back, anyone who saw him will be scared sh*tless of his monstrous body but not White, he is not just some random nobody.

Facing Frank's intimidating gaze, he said nonchalantly “Do you mean former guild dumb-dumb? The last time I remember, Patheon destroyed you guys so bad that you ended up disbanding.” 

Hearing White Insult, Frank dash forward like an angry bull. “Die, Assh*le!” 

“Stop! don’t be stupid, that what he wants.” Eric said blocking Frank.

Frank reluctantly stop “Just you wait, I’m gonna f*ck you up”

“Do what you want, Like I said before I’m gonna retire after this” 

"Let stop this nonsense. Open your trade window and let's get this over with." Eric said. 

White inserted the [Dark Excalibur] while Eric Inserted 101,520,000 USD. The game Genysis is connected to every single bank in the world, making transactions in the game as easy as the real world. Plus, if players want it they can remotely trade items using [Genesys] trading platform and don't have to do it face to face, although they will be required to pay a 30% transaction fee. The good side of it is it was completely safe.

White didn’t select this type of deal as the amount involved is more than 100 million and he didn’t want to pay 30%, although Genesys will still get 10% commission regardless, he was happy to save more than 20 million USD.  

"Done," Eric said after transferring the money.

Seeing so many zeros in his bank account, White smiles stupidly.

After seeing that the deal is done, the former high executive of Light of Dawn cannot hold themselves any longer 

“Now it's time for you to die!” Said Frank as they slowly close the encirclement on White.

Eric couldn’t care less about what is happening around him. For him, Light of Dawn is only something he created on a whim. If he wants to, he can use his status as Prince and create another one.

He brought Dark Excalibur out his inventory, marveling its beauty. ’This is it, the rumored Genesys strongest weapon. The weapon of the chosen one [Excalibur]’.

The moment Eric touches Dark Excalibur a notification pops out. 

[Requirement not met, unable to be equipped] Eric frowned ‘Did I just waste more than 100million USD for nothing.’ 

As Eric contemplates, another notification pops out. 

[The Divine sword Excalibur has been corrupted and only the bringer of chaos can view and wield its power.]

[Detecting your pure heart, the voice of the world has given you a chance]

[Do you want to cleanse the sword?] Seeing the opportunity to wield such a weapon, Eric immediately said yes. 

Quest [Kill the enemy of the world] has been accepted

The Divine sword has been corrupted by the enemy of the world using the river of hell. To cleanse the sword, you have to kill the enemy of the world, drenching the sword with his blood

Objective: Kill White the Enemy of the World. 

Reward: The divine sword [Excalibur]

Quest [Revenge of the King] 

The future king of Camelot has been killed by a man whom the world deemed as cancer. He was able to bring the kingdom of Camelot on its knees by instigating a bloodied civil war and allowing Great Demon Baal to descend in the world. Kill the traitor White and bring peace to Camelot. 

Objective: Kill White the traitor of Camelot and bring his head to Merlin. 

Reward: Became the next heir to the Kingdom of Camelot. 

Seeing the mission and reward. Eric is stunned. He immediately ordered the former guild member of the Light of Dawn to stop.

“Stop!”

The former high executive of Light of Dawn looked at Eric confused.

Not bothering to answer his subordinate. Eric looked at White “What diabolical things did you do for [Genesys] to hate you so much?”

White looks at Eric, realizing that the latter might have accepted an amazing quest. “Nothing much, just making a living,” He said smiling

“Suit yourself” Knowing that White will not tell him anything, Eric ordered his subordinate to capture him.

“Capture him and bring him to me. Avoid killing him” Thinking that their boss must have been angry and wanted to tortured White, they excitedly walked towards the latter while strictly maintaining their encirclement formation. 

White looked at the i***t dogs that were heading towards him with a smile. He might be retiring but there is nothing free in this world, If they want something, he will not be stupid enough to just hand it over.

White laugh “Hahahahaha”

“Are you going crazy, seeing that you are about to die? Let me tell you, no amount of begging will save you now” said Frank. 

“Hahahaha no, no, no you are mistaken, I’m laughing because I find you guys funny. Acting all riled up because their little clubhouse got destroyed. What are you, a kid?”

“I’ll kill you!” Frank shouted. He was now covered in red energy, the trademark skill of his class Berserker. 

[Berserk] increases the user strength and agility while dramatically reducing its defense.

“Bark dog bark hahaha” White taunt 

Furious, Frank rushes toward White, ignoring their formation.

“Stop Frank! Maintain formation” said one of his comrades. Frank however ignored his plea

Arriving right in front of White, he slashes his enormous ax aiming at the latter's head. “I don’t need formation to deal with this ant. Power is all I need!” He roared.

“I’m afraid what you have isn’t enough” Not even bothering to block the attack. White stretches his hand, using his pointing finger, he weakly touches Frank’s body.

“Thud!” As White's finger touched Frank the red aura surrounding his body suddenly disappeared and he fell to the ground.

“What? Are you that weak? See that guys I only need a finger to bring this giant gorilla down hahaha” White said, blowing his finger like a gun.

“Guys?” Seeing that no one is answering, White scratches his head.

“Ah! I forgot all of you are already died” All around White, the former high executive of the Light of Dawn, simultaneously falls to the ground dead except for Eric who has a confused look on his face.

“Thud!”  

“What did you do?” Eric asked

“You didn’t think I would come here to face you without precautions, did you? Come on, you're the White knight Prince Eric, give yourself some credit.” Eric faces twitch hearing White’s sarcastic praise.

“I stole tons of money from you not so long ago so of course, I will take countermeasures. In my line of work, you always have to be ready if ever someone decides to get revenge.”

Eric is at loss ‘No matter how ready you are, people do not just drop down dead to the ground because you're ready you assh*le’

Seeing Eric racking his brain to figure out how he did it. White decided to explain just for the fun of it. It will be his last trick after all before he officially retires so it is better if someone knows about it.

“Well you see, a while back I learned this unique skill. [Hammurabi code] you know that eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth thing.” 

“Still not following? Come on do I have to spoon-feed you?”

“Ok I’ll give some examples, I want to be clear, this is strictly hypothetical I am not implying that this is you.”

“On a deadly battlefield, there once was a brave and fearless guild master, who alone faced dozens of enemies, easily killing them. But unbeknownst to this brave and fearless guild master, there is an assassin lurking in the shadow, ready to take his life. But as his luck will have it I, White, swoops in and saves the day. Filled with gratitude, the brave and fearless guild master said to me, I owe you my life. The brave and fearless guild master might not mean it but because of [Hammurabi code] what he said became absolute, it means I own his life now. Amazing right? Save a life, own the life”

After hearing White's stupid little story. Eric instantly realized that he was the MC in the story.‘f**k! this f*cker holds my life in the palm of his hand from the very start.’

Enjoying Eric's priceless expression, White grinned “Any last word?”.

Having no other choice, Eric retrieves a piece of paper in his inventory.

“I warn you, try anything funny and I can kill you with a single thought”

“Relaxed, this will benefit the both of us” He signs the piece of paper then gives it to White, the latter looks at it confused at first but later on he smiles.

“What are you waiting for? Do you not want it?”

“Just wait, I’ll sign it” White snapped his finger then signed the paper.

“What did you just do?” Eric asked, he has enough dealing with White’s tricks, he just wants for all of this to be over and move on with his life. If given another chance, he will not be willing to have anything to do with him ever again.

“Can you just chill? Like I said before I will retire after our deal is over. What's a better way to do it but with a bang” White said giving the piece of paper back to Eric.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Forget it. You’ll know soon enough. Come on now, kill me”

Eric holds the Dark Excalibur hesitatingly, he places the sword around White's heart but cannot bring himself to pierce it. He is still concerned about what the latter just did.

Seeing Eric wasting time, White holds Eric's hands, thrusting [Dark Excalibur] through his heart. “Let me just do it”

As White died the paper in Eric's hand started to burn, confirming that the contract had been fulfilled. 

[Absolute contract]

Party: Eric, White

Terms: Eric will pay White 1 million dollars to die by his hand.

Eric however still didn’t believe that White truly died. He stands in front of his corpse for an hour before finally summoning the guts to cut White’s heads.

Picking up White’s head, Eric finally smiles.

He puts the head and the body in his inventory and starts walking, his destination: Camelot.

……

“Prince! Prince!” After arriving outside the Forest of Linzu, Eric receives various private messages.

“What’s up?”

“Are you not aware of it boss? The whole Genesys right now is in complete turmoil.”

“What happened? I just got out of a restricted communication zone so I don’t have an idea of what’s happening in Genesys. Is another world boss spawn?”

“No boss! Something terrible happened. All across Genesys people started dying with no apparent reason”

Hearing this Eric couldn’t help but look back at the Forest of Linzu, thinking of what White said ‘Is this what you mean going out with a bang?’
