Back in his house, Leon is walking all over the place acting all crazy. ‘f**k! f**k! f**k!’

He didn’t expect something like this to happen. He naively thought that his life would continue as it was. 

Without him realizing it, his riches have changed him. The man who would do anything for money is long gone. He became complacent and he paid for it.

Now that he only got close to a million-dollar on his account, a far cry from the 2.5 million he needed for his father's further treatment. He's screwed.

‘Do I have to sell the house? Do we have to live like rats again?’ Leon thought, punching the wall. 

Blood continued to drip through Leon's arm as he looked outside. There he saw his sisters happily playing together with children their own age.

His heart tightened. ‘No no no, even if I have to sell my soul, I would not let my family be deprived of the life they deserve.’

He walked to his room pulling a box under his bed, something he hopes he never has to open. 

Inside the box is his OPH [Online Port Helmet]. 

Left with no other choice. Leon once again entered the world of Genesys. ‘If a monster is what my family needs then I’ll be the worse monster there is.’ 

“Link Start[Genesys]”

Inside a white room, Leon is standing in front of a familiar figure. A Fairy name Laila. She is the first NPC a player encounters when they first enter the game.

She serves no other purpose than introducing players in the world and helping them in creating their character.

“Hello Adventurer, welcome to the world of Genesys, I’ll be your guide Laila oh! It's you” Halfway in her introduction Laila stopped. 

She looks at Leon with hatred and disdain; this puzzled Leon as there are no records of something like this ever happening on the internet. 

'Isn't this supposed to be pre-recorded?' Leon thought, he had recreated his character before and this never happened to him. 

"You are already familiar with Genesys, you don’t have to be here. Off you go." Laila said, snapping her finger sending Leon away.

"No stop! I didn't yet customize my avatar.” Leon yells trying to stop Laila but the latter just gave him a malicious smile.

…… 

Leon arrived at Ganiyu a small village on the outskirts of the Niland kingdom. 

'What's up with that?’ Leon though still puzzled by what just happened.

It took him a while but he finally composed himself. He looks around and finds himself in an unfamiliar place. Being one of the few players that played Genesys since the beginning, there are only a few places in the game that he has yet been into.

'Is this place one of the expansion packs discovered in the year of my absence?’  The world of Genesys has no determinable size. Neo the developer of the game even stated that the world of Genesys is limitless and there is no end to it, there are only places yet to be explored. 

Some time ago when the game first started a group of explorers took it upon themselves to compiled newly discovered areas and release them to the public, they called it an expansion pack. Ever since then when new areas are discovered a new expansion pack will be released accordingly.

"F*ck! That fairy completely ruined my plan."As a veteran player, Leon knew many places that would allow him to quickly get stronger but now that he was teleported in an unknown place those became worthless. Until he gets strong enough to travel across kingdoms and empires, he was stuck to being a noob. 

"Newbie? Care to join our Friendship alliance?" A cute girl in full level 25 cleric equipment approaches Leon. 

"No thanks,’' Leon quickly declined the invitation. He didn't need dead weight plus those men behind the girl are giving him strange looks.

Leon has encountered many such scenes in the past. Genesys is not a friendly game like others would have expected. It was a game full of freedom. Here players can do anything, they can be a hero, save a princess or slay a dragon but they can also do despicable things such as murder and even r*pe. 

Leon looks at the dejected face of the girl and then quickly leaves without helping or warning the latter. He didn’t enter Genesys to be a hero or do a good deed, he was here to make money.

The village of Ganiyu is relatively small so it wasn't difficult for Leon to spot the village chief. 

Like most games, most of the newbie quest is also given by the village chief or someone with a similar title. 

Maybe because the village is part of a new expansion pack, there are only a few players lining up to meet him. 

Not long after it was Leon's turn.

"Sir, do you have a task for me?" Leon asks politely, unlike normal games NPC in Genesys has super-advanced A. I so players have to treat them like normal human beings if they want to have a decent quest.

Leon is expecting the village chief to greet him nicely and give him a simple quest but instead the latter looks at him with anger and disdain.

"Our village didn't need help from the likes of you." 

Everyone on the plaza looked at Leon intrigue, usually, the village chief acted friendly towards players. Leon on the other hand is confused. This is the second time that something like this has happened to him ever since playing the game again. He will be stupid if he thinks all of this is just a coincidence.

'First the fairy, now the village chief, something is definitely wrong.'

A powerful curse uttered by the legendary wizard Merlin by sacrificing half of her power. It lowers individual stats by 50% and when near Merlin the player will continuously experience the torment of feeling his whole body being burned in fire.

As someone daring enough to rebel and kill the son of the world. No one in the world can restrain you. But as someone who opposes the world, its inhabitants will unfavorably view you. No matter the species they will instantly hate you. 

Effect: Unfavorability -50

Effect: Immunity to a status effect.

'The f*ck is this! This title even followed me even though I created a new character. Did the developer want me out of Genesys? 'Leon wanted to send a complaint to Neo but he refrained from doing so. He didn’t want to risk not being able to play the game.

He can only swallow his discontent. ‘If they really want me out, when I got what I want I’ll burn this world to the ground.'

It was at this moment that a group of three approached him. They must have thought he got some secret quest or something. 

"Hey there friend, My name is Monty. I and my friend are already level 12 and we already obtain a class. If you want some help in your quest we’ll be happy to help you. Leon ignores the three and walks away. In his eyes, these people are nothing but brainless buffoons. 

"You dare ignore the generosity of brother Monty, the successor Leader of LZT,"  said one of the buffoons. 

Leon halts his step and looks at the three buffoons. The ugly fat one in the middle whose name seems to be Monty is nodding his head looking pleased by the other buffoon's praise.  

"Good, you are scared now but it is too late. Our Boss Monty will now take over your quest now so better had it over if you don’t want to die." One of the buffoons said, cracking his knuckles. 

Leon looks at them like looking at a bunch of idiots. 'What the f*ck is happening? Am I in some kind of novel?' He feels like the three buffoons in front of him are kinda like those generic bullies in the story he read so much about. 

He’s pretty sure that after he beat these buffoons. The latter will call on big brother buffoons and after he beats big brother buffoons. Father buffoons will show up to the rescue and after beating father buffoon and the whole family of buffoons. It was time to beat up grandfather buffoons and after doing that, when he thinks things are over, ancestors buffoons will unexpectedly show up. Maybe Leon just overthinking things but he didn't want unnecessary trouble. He didn’t want to waste time facing a generic bully. 

"I already decline the quest but If you want I can tell you how to get it?"

The three buffoons smiles. "Well tell us now if you want to keep your life."

"No problem boss, the quest is how to take over the village."

The buffoons immediately got excited, despite being a bunch of noobs, they were already imagining ruling their own kingdom."No wonder the village chief hates you. Boss, we hit the jackpot this time. We will have our very own village."

"Don't get excited yet, we still have to complete the quest." Even though Monty seems to be reprimanding his lackey, he already has a big smile on his face. 

Seeing the buffoons' expressions, Leon is left to wonder. 'Is this guys have pigs for brains? To think they are dreaming of owning a village despite just being level 12.' 

Up to the day that he left Genesys, there is no one who have ever successfully conquered a village before, and there is a good reason for that.

There is one incident in the early stage of Genesys that is famous among all the veteran players, it was also the start of Pantheon hatred for him. Through his coercion Patheon, the strongest guild in Genesy decided to take over the pioneer village also known as the beta village (being the first village introduced to players).

At that time the average player is only level 50 but Patheon being the No.1 guild at the time manages to assemble a group of level 70 to attack the village. Seeing that the village guard is only level 20. Everyone didn’t doubt that Pantheon would succeed, well everyone, except Leon who knew that the village chief is a whooping level 200 so the result is obviously a m******e. That day Leon managed to harvest hundreds of top-tier equipment that he had sold for a decent price.

Although Patheon tried hard to cover up the event and closed the lips of everyone involved. Anyone who has the internet can easily search it. Ever since then it was known to all that it was impossible to take over a village using violence. Leon is amazed at how these three buffoons didn't know about it.  

"How can we get the quest?" Monty asked. 

"Easy, you just have to kill a village guard."

"Are you joking with us?' The buffoon's face immediately turns sour. 

"No, no, no boss, I'm telling the truth. If it was so easy to do then it wouldn't be a hidden quest right?"

"He has a point," One of the buffoons said.

Monty still skeptical. "If you're indeed telling the truth, how can a newbie like you manage to kill one?"

'Oh one of the buffoons has a little brain." Leon thought.

"By accident, I was running from a group of monsters when I suddenly encountered a patrolling guard and I accidentally killed him."

"It's possible," Monty said after contemplating.

"Yeah, boss lets do it. If we assemble all the members of LZT we can also kill a patrolling guard."

“Let's do it, boss before someone else discovers it.”

"If you lie, I will hunt you down, '' Monty said as he walks away taking the other buffoons with him. 

"Good luck boss " Leon waved at the three buffoons, still couldn't believe what he had witnessed. 'Is there really a person that stupid. Did they not have the internet?' 

He thought that it would take him some effort to convince the three buffoons but it seems that he truly underestimated their stupidity.

If someone wanted to give him gifts, who is Leon to refuse?

He looked at the village chief at the distance. 'You didn't want to give me a quest, ah, well that's fine, I'll just take all the reward by force.'
