Beyond the high doors awaited the sinewy built beast guards from earlier and Becca immediately assumed that they had been assigned with taking her to Sucrose. She could not stand them following her around like shadows, their imposing presence made her unable to think clearly.
Crossing her arms over her chest, addressing them sternly, "I do not need you to follow me, just tell me where she is and I will figure it out myself." The men both looked over her shoulder, surely to get some sort of go ahead or no go from their king. Until then, Becca had been unaware that he was standing a few feet behind her.
