After taking a long bath, Lili threw herself onto the bed and closed her eyes. Every scene of what she had done with Diogo played in her mind, and she felt the urge to record it in her diary. As she wrote down each word, her excitement heightened once again. But with Diogo already back at the company, all she could do was drift off to sleep.
Around four in the afternoon, Lili heard a knock on her bedroom door. She got up and opened it, finding the maid holding a bouquet of roses.
"Are they for me?" she asked.
"Yes," the maid replied.
Lili took the red roses and took them to her face, enjoying their fragrance. She soon noticed the accompanying card.
"Carla, please get me a vase. I want to keep them here in my room," she instructed the maid.
"Okay, I'll be right back," Carla replied.
