Chapter Eighty-Two

1240 Words

Aria's POV I wrapped my hands around my body and rocked myself in fear. Terror consumed me at the thought that I had been seeing Miss Rose all these times in Blackwood and I could not recognize her. She was the woman who traumatized and caused me so much pain, my childhood was a nightmare because of her, how was it possible that I couldn't tell it was her when I met her? Though I felt a sense of familiarity when I first saw her, it never occurred to me that she was the one until I saw that scar. I tightened my hold on my body, clutching tightly to myself. Miss Rose, or should I say, Lady Agatha was the woman who raised me. My mother's death shook my father so much, almost disorganizing him. He did not seem to know how he would manage his business and raise a child at the same time.
