After ending the call with Lucas, my Beta, I hurried back to Imelda's room to tell her parents of the recent development before hurrying back to Blackwood.
I got to the pack and immediately made my way to my office. “What did they say was the issue?” I asked Lucas over the phone as I walked into my office.
“They didn't get the payment for their services to the Pack, they are threatening to go to war because they think our pack deceived them.”
“That's not possible, I remember vividly that I made arrangements for their payments,” I replied in confusion.“I'll get back to you, Lucas, I need to check something.”
