My eyes widened in shock at Liam’s words. “What! What do you mean by that? How?” I asked, my heart thudding frantically against my ribcage.
“Reina,” Liam muttered slowly and swallowed hard.
My eyes wandered over to where Ralph lay motionless, his body was turning scaly and pale like Reina's when we saw her corpse.
I staggered backward in panic, with my hand on my temple as my eyes darted between the two of them in horror. No! This can’t be happening.
“A-Alpha, you need to get out of here quickly. It’s too dangerous to remain here,” Liam muttered in a low, weak voice but I remained rooted on the spot, unable to move a muscle because of the shock.
Liam staggered again, he was struggling to remain awake and not pass out like Ralph.
