Aria's POV
The Lycan king squinted his eyes at me and I suddenly realized what I had just done. I placed my hands over my mouth and lowered my gaze.
My breathing became labored as I thought over what I had done. Not only had I yelled at the Lycan king, but I had also let my secret out of the bag. One which I was hoping to keep until I was sure my life was no longer at stake.
My head hung low and I kept my eyes fixed on my lap as I fiddled nervously with my fingers.
"Was that you?" Alpha Xander said, shock evident in his voice. "Have you been pretending to be mute? Were you ever dumb?" He demanded but I remained mute and refused to speak.
