Warmth of Love

Chapter 5

It's getting dark. The two plays for a couple of hours. Lucas was very worried that the girls' family is looking for her. A beautiful little girl still out in the dark is somewhat dangerous. So, he reluctantly asked Little Blaine to stop playing 'coz it is time to go home.

" Do you know how to go home?" asked Lucas as they went out the funfair.

The smile on Blaine's face froze and she bit her lower lip not knowing how to answer Lucas' question. She just lowered her head while she continues to walk. She didn't answer Lucas for she doesn't want to go home.

Lucas stops and he looks at the girl who continue to walk with her head down.

"Blaine?" Lucas said softly but the girl didn't hear him at all.

"Blaine!" Lucas shouted.

"Huh? What happened?" Blaine asked as she was brought out of her thoughts because of Lucas' shout.

" You didn't answer my question. Why? Is something bothering you?" Lucas said with worry.

" I-I.... I don't know ho-how to go home an-and I don't want to go home. " Blaine answered keeping her last words a little soft but enough for Lucas to hear.

Lucas sighs. He can clearly see that the little girl doesn't want to go home and she looked sad when he mentioned the word 'home'. He didn't know the real reason why the girl doesn't want to go home but he can do nothing about it because she clearly has a family that will look and worry about her at the same time he didn't want to see her sad. He was put into a predicament because of Blaine's situation. He knows that when he will bring her to his home his family will welcome her warmly because she is his friend and he doesn't want to leave her there alone and in the dark. Something might happen to her. So, he decided to bring her with him and help her finds her family tomorrow.

Lucas looked at her sad face and his heart ached seeing her like that. He missed the lively and carefree Blaine a while ago. Lucas smiled as he offer his hand and said " hmmm. Let's go home together then."

Blaine looked at him confused. "Huh?"

"You're going home with me. In my house." Lucas said with emphasis while smiling brightly at her.

Blaine was shocked with his words and it takes time as she digests the meaning behind Lucas words.

"Yo-You mean, I-I am going to your house? Ahm.... will it be okay?" Blaine's a little worried that she might cause trouble to his family.

" Of course! Such a beautiful little girl like you, my mother will surely like you. The same goes with my sister. So, don't worry about it. My family is consist of good people. " Lucas answered with certainty in his voice.

Blaine looked at Lucas eyes to see if he is telling the truth and she is very sure that all his words are genuine. With that, a smile blossom in her beautiful face as she reached out to hold Lucas hand.

"Okay! I'm coming with you!"

They walked hand in hand while Lucas is protecting the girl while walking along the busy streets. The funfair is about four alleys from his house. So, it takes time to reach his home.

While walking, they passed by different sky scrapers that are now well-lighted. People are going here and there. The streets are packed with people, cars and stalls.

At 8pm, they reached the alley where Lucas' house is located. As they walked near his house, they saw a lot of luxurious vehicles park in front. At the same time, a lot of men in black with earpieces are standing guard outside.

Lucas was shock as he witness this scene in his very own home and nervousness crept inside him. Lucas and Blaine looked at each other not knowing what is happening inside. Lucas worries intensify so he dragged Blaine as he runs inside his home.

"Dad! Mom! Lucy!" Lucas shouts as he enters their house. He is panting heavily, when he saw his parents standing in the living room while there are unfamiliar people present. From where he is standing, he can see a man sitting in one of their couch and besides him sits a beautiful woman. They look like king and queen while sitting there.

Blaine who was dragged by Lucas is also panting heavily. From where she is standing, she cannot see the people sitting inside because Lucas is blocking her line of sight.

"Lu-Lucas wha-what's happening? Why ar- are you shouting and running so fast?" Blaine asked while gasping for air

Lucas looked at the beautiful woman sitting inside and he then turns to look at the girl beside him. The woman and Blaine's face are almost the same. It's like they are carved in the same mould. From then, he understood the situation. They are here for Blaine and they are most likely Blaine's parents.

"What? Is everything alright?" Blaine asked worriedly because she can see the sadness in Lucas' eyes.

Lucas step aside to give her space. Blaine's face is full of worry as she watched Lucas mood falters. She took one glance at Lucas face and turns her head to check what is happening inside. Her eyes widen as she stares at the man and woman sitting in the couch.

"Da-Dad?? Mom?" Blaine whispers as a lone tear slide down her eyes.
