The battle in brains among the three representatives is very intense and very close. As the game begins, Blain put all her heart and mind in the game. She’s always for the win and she cannot accept defeat. The fierce battle of brains goes on and the victor has been determined. Hilayan Academy- 30pts Adamsons Academy- 10pts Pascal Academy- 60pts The Pascal Academy cheered and rejoiced for their win. The mentors and administrators have smiles on their faces and they’re proud of their representative. However the victor herself doesn’t have any sense of happiness in her soul. Blaine scans the crowd but she found nothing. Disappointment is written all over her face and tears flowed down in her beautiful face. As the quiz master awarded her the Golden Cup that symbolizes her victory, she runs down the stage without receiving the cup. She runs out of the stadium and went to the direction where her feet leads her to. She just run and run and run until she reaches the park, there she cried her eyes out. She cried her disappointment and longing. She cried for the love and care that she doesn’t have. She feels empty and alone. The passersby just pity the beautiful little girl. A cute little boy somewhat older than her approaches her and offers her a handkerchief. With a bright smile on his face the little boy said, “Crying doesn’t make you pretty. It’s just a waste of water in your body.” Little Blaine stop crying and looked up. She met a beautiful boy smiling brightly at her while offering his white handkerchief. “Who are you?” Little Blaine asked as she wiped the tears from her face using the boys’ hankie. “I’m a friend.” Answered by the boy with a smile and added. “Are you alone? You want to play with me?” Little Blaine just look at him in a dazed because it’s the first time that someone wants to play with her. And it’s her first time to play because all she does is read and attends special classes like painting, piano, ballet and taekwondo. Without waiting for her reply, the boy grabs her wrist and dragged her towards the funfair. Upon reaching the place, Little Blaine was instantly amazed by the place. “Wow! It’s beautiful.” Blaine said looking around with curios gazed and admiration. “C’mon! Let’s play!” The boy urges her and grabs her hand towards the merry go round. At that instant, little Blaine forgot all the grievances and disappointment she has a while ago. And she tried almost all the rides in the fun fair and smiling genuinely like the usual little girl who likes some fun.
