It took an hour for the plane to arrive at Green Bay, Wisconsin’s Austin Strabo Airport, the closest place to Escanaba where the jet could land. The place was deserted and the Airbus was the only jet on the tarmac, dwarfing the smaller single prop planes. A van drove up as Kobak, Saul and the security team disembarked. Kobak recognized the logo of the Green Bay Packers football team on the side and jerked in surprise. He looked at Saul to explain, but the security chief had already left to speak with the driver. A few minutes later they shook hands. The man walked away, disappearing around a corner of the hanger.
When Saul returned, he told Kobak, “I know the team’s security chief. He owes me a favor. We have the van for as long as we need it.
