CHAPTER 12

Samara

Tomorrow will be the start of our first day of school. Today, the queen's designing team will take my measurements and also Lia's. It will be used for making our uniforms. It seems a little bit late because tomorrow will be the start of classes. But like what the queen says, the construction of our uniforms will be fast. Also, our measurements will be used for future events. For creating gowns and such. I can't believe that even if I am not a part of their family, they are treating me like one. They also invite me to events like that. That is only for the royalties but I am involved. I can't believe I will be able to feel this special in my life. I used to live as a normal human being before.

I already washed my body. I am wearing a silk lace dress that hugs my curve. The queen sent this to me to wear. This will help her designing team to take my measurements perfectly. This dress is so thin. Luckily, it doesn't reveal what I am wearing inside.

When Susana knocked I immediately opened the door. I still don't see Chrollo anywhere for these past few days. Lia told me that he is already feeling okay and is handling important matters. The king asked him to do some things. The king is practicing Chrollo to be the next king of their kingdom. For sure after his whole studying term at Mezmarat Academy, he will be immediately crowned as the king of Mezmarat Kingdom.

We went down the stairs that took eternity again. It is too long, I almost lost my breath! Why is this castle so high!? Yeah, a castle consists of a lot of floors. Who am I to decide what a castle will look like.

I got down and the queen kissed my cheek. I smiled at her sweetly. Thank goodness she is not like the b***h queens I watched on television. My life will be ruined if she was like that. Queen Amora is a loving queen and mother. I like her and see her as a good woman.

"Come inside, my designing team and Lia are waiting for you. They are so excited to meet you. You are really a beautiful creature. They want to make a dress just for you. They told me it is a sign of welcoming you to our world. Who am I to say no?" the queen said.

"Oh, they don't need to make an effort like that, my queen. I am a bit shy. I am not a popular person and not a royalty. You are all treating me like a part of the family," I said and bit my lower lip.

"Don't be shy, Samara. You are a family to me," the queen said.

"What do you mean?" I asked. I looked so confused.

The queen is about to speak when Lia called us. We sat beside her. She is wearing the same dress like mine. She is too pale, my skin looks a little bit pinkish and alive. Are vampires dead? I still don't know a lot of things.

I asked the king a few days back if he could lend me a book to read about the vampires. He didn't give me even one pocketbook because he told me I might be more confused if I don't have someone to guide me while studying their race. He told me to wait for the school to start and study well at the academy. I just thanked him for the suggestion.

The queen's designing team took Lia's measurements first. Her body is perfect, like a runway model in my world. That perfectly sculpted body and face, I bet many boys drool over Lia. She doesn't even look like a 17-year-old girl. I realized it after staring at her for a long time. She can even pass to look like a certified adult.

After taking the measurements of Lia, I was the next one. They asked me to stand on the small rotating platform. They are guiding me so I don't slip and lose my balance. Some of them are girls and some are gay people. I love their hair color.

They took all of my measurements. I stood still so they can take it fast. It looks awkward while all of them are taking my measurements. I look like a doll frozen on my spot.

"This is a dashing darling, my queen. Her beauty can even pass as a goddess," the leader of the designing team said while looking at me.

"She is really beautiful, isn't she? Some boys surely will ask for her hand when she enters Mezmarat Academy. Samara's beauty is exceptional," Lia commented.

I can't utter a word. All of them are complimenting me and I can't take it. Too many sweet words, I will explode.

They let me sit beside Lia which made me exhale in relaxation. At last, I got away from the pressure.

They gave me a magazine about the Mezmarat Academy. Also a brochure of their courses and curriculum system. Their uniform looks so good. I can't read it at the mean time because they are talking to me.

Their uniform is like a Japanese uniform. A white long-sleeves inside, dark red mid-thigh skirt, a dark red necktie with the Logo of Mezmarat Academy, a red vest, and long white socks.

"Is it beautiful? I love Mezmarat Academy's uniform. It will suit you well because of your crimson red hair. But be careful of those bitches who study at Mezmarat Academy. The typical bitches there are the daughters of the famous and rich vampires that live in Mezmarat Kingdom or some exchange rich students. Always stay by my side or my brothers' side. Also, just shout my name. I will always be there for you," Lia said.

I smiled and tapped her shoulder. The sweet Lia with her mother. They are a mother and daughter tandem. Looks like Chrollo's favorite was the king.

"Do you know about the welcome party, sweetheart? And the welcome tournament? There will also be groups. All students will be divided once you go inside Mezmarat Academy," the queen asked me.

"There are things like that? I am clueless, my queen. I don't even know a single information about Mezmarat Academy," I honestly said.

The queen looks so shocked and whispered in Lia's ear. I can't hear it. They are talking about something.

"Looks like my husband wants to surprise you to all of the events. I don't obey his orders, though, I am his boss after all," the queen said that made me laugh. "I will tell you about it, sweetheart. Come with us to the kitchen. Let's eat some snacks while having a conversation."

We all walked to the kitchen. The maids prepared snacks for us. They served cake and sundae ice creams. It looks so delicious so I took a bite.

Oh my! The taste is heavenly! I can't believe that all of the food in here shouts perfection. The vampire's cooking skills and baking skills are on another level. They can also prepare meals at a faster time limit because of their abilities.

"Mom, start talking now. You are enjoying the meal so much," Lia said to the queen.

"Oh, sorry! It tastes so good!" the queen said and laughed.

She wipes her mouth. Queen Amora moves so elegantly. Like a woman with a high standard of class. While me, I don't even know the proper table etiquette. I am just copying the two of them on how they use the fork and spoon for their meals.

"About the welcome party, it usually happens after 5 days of the school opening. Every student of Mezmarat Academy will attend. All of the students will wear gorgeous and expensive gowns. There will also be the king and queen of the night, there will be 5 pairs of total awarded categories. Lia always got the queen of the night three days straight before that exchange student got the spot. Lia hates that girl," the queen explained.

Parties, I love celebrations. That means there will be a lot of food and the food in this world is world-class. I am so excited to eat at that event. Also, are there partners like proms? When males will ask you to be their partners? It doesn't matter, anyway. I just wanted to see how the vampire celebrates and what are the foods that will be served there.

"About the welcome tournament, mom. Tell Samara about it. It is really exciting. But also dangerous. I think that might be too dangerous for Samara. Some vampires might pick up a fight with her even her teammates," Lia said.

"That sounds not so good," I commented. "Can I decide if I will participate or not?"

"That is the twist, Samara. You don't know when and where the welcome tournament will happen. It is always a surprise. It usually occurs during the first month of the school year. More often at the second week to the third week of the first month," the queen said.

I bit my lower lip. That will be dangerous for me. I know how to fight but I can't defend myself against vampires. They are strong, far stronger than me. Their grip can break every piece of my bones.

"There are also different themes every time the welcome tournament is held. For the first day of school, all of the students will be divided into groups regardless of what gender and level they are. Students also can't choose what group they will be in. They will drop their blood on the magic pot and the pot will react to the blood. It will show what color it will be. There are theme colors for different groups and you will know that on the first day," the queen added.

"But how will the tournament be dangerous? Are there sports? Basketball or soccer? Is it like that?" I asked looking at Lia.

"It does not work like that, Lia. Its like a hunt. You will find a treasure with a hidden scent. That is the usual theme of the tournament. Or sometimes, like protecting the flag game. That will be dangerous because vampires will fight to get the goal of each group. And you also need to fight to contribute to your group. No one can back out because others can make that as an excuse to forcibly kick you out of the school. So be ready, Samara. You will know all things afterwards. Just be ready always," Lia explained.

I nodded and sipped my water. That made me nervous. There is no tournament like that in my world. Maybe school games, but not like fighting for the goal and showing each others strength to the point of actual physical fights. I can't live long if there will be too many enemies that will hate me. I need to look nice and not like a b***h. Many girls told me that I look like a b***h even though I am beautiful. That brat look I gave, they told me.

"I will be out for an hour or two, girls. I will be back before dinner. Enjoy your conversation," the queen excused herself before disappearing.

"Oh, Samara. I need to add something about the welcome tournament," Lia said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"There are wild animals that will be lurking. Usually, wild spirit animals look so ugly. They are made by the witches and disappear when you kill them. Just beware of them. And also, study about them when school starts. Go to the library always. Books there are always free," Lia explained and winked at me.

I gulped and stopped eating. What should I do? I can handle scary vampires but not scary animals. Are they like that three-headed dog? Oh my, I am doomed!
