A hand stroking my forehead wakes me up. The palm is wide and manly, a peppery smell prompts me to open my eyes. Attila is leaning over me. I stretch: “Come and have dinner with us.” I grunt, curl up and turn around. He puts a hand on my shoulder and gently insists: “Come and have dinner with us.” “And find myself between you and Jack?” He doesn't answer. Is he hurt? “I'm sorry, but there’s no room service,” he hisses. And without waiting, he gets up and leaves the room. I sigh. My mind is cloudy. I don't want to spend a single second with them. My world isn’t what it used to be: Jack alive who no longer wants me, Attila supposedly turned soft as a lamb and Adam supposedly turned into a gangster.
