She lost track of time watching the holotube and playing with her fingercomm. Having access to all the data gathered by humankind—all at her fingertips and with direct integration to her brain—gave her an insane feeling of power. Intermittently, she took breaks to get snacks and take frequent naps throughout the day. After a day and a half of this, her mind went numb with boredom. That’s it, she thought, time to holocade.
