My Saviour Became My Tormentor

First Meet..( I )

On the way towards the hospital, suddenly a notification popped up on the display screen in the car. Showing that an incoming call is coming. I checked the name on the screen. 'Oh, it's Noor!! I forgot to inform her that I'll be late.'

I picked up the call and before I say anything she stormed over me,

"WHERE ARE YOU?" She shouted. My earbuds are about to burst out.

"Listen, Noor.." Before I completed my sentence she again started, " Don't tell you're still sitting on your bed or I swear on the Almighty, I'M GONNA KILL YOU."

"At least give me the chance to speak, you Red Bull." This is the nickname I gave her cause she is a short-tempered girl. And whenever she gets angry, her face is a sight to see. Red with anger with the expression of a mad bull.

I didn't let her say anything cause if I did my chance to speak was never going to come any time soon. So I continued,

"I left for the college before even 9:40 a.m. Came straight to Max, took our coffee and was on my way but I saw an injured kitten just outside the café. You know I can't ignore her so I'm on the to the Vet Hospital now." I finished as fast as possible and exhaled my holding breath.

"Oh, I see... Which one you're going to?"

"To The Giordano Animal Hospital," I replied.

"Okay, don't forget to inform me of her condition after you reach there. And I'm waiting for you in the college."

"Yeah, bye, see you" I cut the call then focused on the road and checked inside the box from time to time.

The Giordano Animal Hospital is a newly started Vet Hospital in the city. But in just a few years it became popular because of their treatment and facilities. Now the name of this hospital just spread to several people which is more than the days they even started their journey. Truth to be said I want to start my internship at this hospital. I had gone to this hospital more than a few times, all times for dogs, cats, and sometimes even for birds. And a few times I took Angéla there as well. Now, it's her regular check-up centre. As she likes her doctor pretty much. Whenever it's time for her routine check-up she acts like she is highly against that idea but just after she comes inside the hospital and has a look at her doctor she acts the opposite.

'Pervert pet of mine.' Said in mind.

'As if you're not.' My mind replied mockingly. I rolled my eyes regarding this point.

Anyway, the main thing about this hospital which I like the most is their advanced treatment and the skills of every single doctor as well as the nurses. The efficiency oozes out through their care and attention to every animal.

'That's why it became best after all.' Mentally stated.

And this whole time, I didn't even notice that a car was closely following me.

Soon I reached in front of the hospital and went straight to the parking area. Stopped my car engine and looked inside the box.

"Hey, hold on a little bit, soon your pain will go away. I promise"

Then held the box and opened the door of my car, then came out carefully. I walked towards the lift for the public and for the staff as well. I got in and pressed the button for the 3rd floor. It is the Emergency Care department. The lift started and in the blink of my eyes, we reached the 3rd floor. I came out and went to the reception.

The receptionist noticed me and asked formally,

"Good morning Ma'am, Welcome to our Hospital. How can I help you?"

"Good morning, this stray cat needs immediate medical attention. So, an appointment to the Emergency Veterinarian will be grateful." I pleaded.

"Emergency Veterinarian is currently busy treating an injured dog. You can go after that. Take it, kindly fill in the information."

She had given me a form where basic information needed to be filled. After filling out everything necessary, I gave her back that form. She checked thoroughly.

"You can wait in the lounge there. We'll inform you when it's your time."

I thanked her and walked towards the waiting area. I sat down and put the box on my lap.

I whispered to the cat, " Don't worry, you'll get well soon" I patted her head, caressed a little. I noticed one thing, the cat is not scared of my presence anymore as it was in the beginning. I was talking with the cat in the whispered mode but our conversation ended with the announcement of my name, for taking the cat to the Veterinarian.

I walked towards the chamber of the doctor and went inside. After checking the cat overall a little, the doctor started the treatment procedure. All this time I was watching closely. Whatever he was doing, his every step, I had observed everything. Soon he was done and I looked at the cat. 'Now it seems better.'

The doctor also informed me that she needs to stay a few days there to heal properly and daily check-up is needed. So I agreed. A nurse came inside and took her to the assigned ward. I also followed the nurse, then saw she took the cat in a cubicle-type area. Where a small bed was present and she laid the cat there and left.

By now the cat is sleeping. It must be because of that sedative, that the doctor had given her to rest. I caressed the fur gently and prayed mentally for a fast recovery. I don't even know if this kitten has a family or not. If she has then,

'They must be worried', sighed internally then rubbed her nose and left from there.

I came back to the reception and made the payments. The receptionist informed me of the timing of visiting. I thanked her and started to walk towards the lift.

I was on the way to the lift while texting Noor the updates. But suddenly I hit the wall.

"Ughh" touched my forehead and rubbed it. While rubbing my forehead, I adjusted my vision and looked that it was not a wall but a FREAKING MAN. My eyes landed on his chest, and then his face, then to his eyes which were looking straight into my eyes.

'I just hit my head on his chest..!!'

'Just wow, Anna' I mentally facepalmed. Then immediately said sorry to him but no reply came from him. He was only looking at me with his intense gaze.

As if he was seeing through my soul.

'Weird' but he is quite handsome to be said. With a masculine body and a height of 6'1" maybe, which is the sexiest combination with the black colour suit, he's wearing.. grey-coloured eyes.. perfectly combed hair with a few strands falling on his forehead.. sharp jawline with a perfect amount of beard and his lips...

'Now who is the Pervert' My brain just internally slapped my face. I was checking him out shamelessly. s**t, he must be thinking of me as a Pervert.

"I'm extremely sorry." Tried to convert the awkward situation.

"Hmm"... 'Ehhh' that's it..!!

Just like that..!!

No proper acknowledgement of apology.

Is he for real..!!

And he was still staring at me...!!!

'Anyway, Anna just ignore it' I mentally said to myself as I was getting late now. He's giving me creepy and dangerous vibes which makes me feel uneasy. So I just passed beside him, totally ignoring his existence. Pressed the lift button and waited for it to come.

'Ting' soon the lift came and I hopped inside but when I turned around to press the button I noticed him he mouthed something before the lift door closed, which I couldn't comprehend.

I came to the parking area and went where I parked my car. I unlocked the car hopped in and started the engine to leave for my college. Cause a Red Bull is waiting for me there.

Little did I know that I caught the eyes of the devil.
