Chapter Four Tawnyetta gasped as the door jerked open revealing a powerful looking man who towered over her from the doorway. Gloom filled the unlit space behind him. Fierce blue eyes shone from the darkness as he glowered at her, his face wrinkled with an ill-tempered expression. She froze like a rabbit about to be chased, but with nowhere to run. There was nothing to duck behind, no door to disappear into, just her in the wide hall standing in front of this ominous man. He stepped into the hall and peered at her with impatience.
