Penelope stared at the queen for a moment. Then, she burst out into laughter.
“You are joking, right?” Penelope asked, choking back more laughter.
King Agostino raised an eyebrow, “Why would you think that?”
“It’s just...it’s just,” Penelope stammered. She was still fighting to hold back the laughter. “It’s so absurd. A prophecy about me having these amazing powers that no one else has? That sort of thing doesn’t exist.”
“Then how do you explain the fact that you have magical powers?” questioned the king. He crossed his arms over his chest and narrowed his eyes. “You said yourself that you did not know you had them until today. Surely if you have magical powers a prophecy cannot be that...absurd of a concept?”
