I looked back in the mirror and noticed a black figure behind Mark. It looked like a smoky woman. I turned around and saw nothing. It was just Mel and Mark talking. He had turned to pleading, hoping that we would understand his predicament somehow or that I would be wooed by his cries for help. I turned around and looked back in the mirror. This time the figure was significantly closer to Mark. Again I looked around to see nothing. It had to be something in my eyes. Back in the mirror, I could see the woman now more clearly.
