The wall of fog around us was massive. It reached from the ground up hundreds of feet. A yellow blast of some kind of energy emerged from the roof of the building. I followed the beam of what looked like plasma from the top of the building with my eyes. It traveled high up into the ionosphere of the planet as far as I could tell, but without any visuals from satellites or planes, I could only estimate. I walked to the wall of fog. It was dense, and visibility through it was very minimal. I lifted my hand and touched it. There was no moisture or any sense of cold to it. It seemed like a projection of fog overlaid over the landscape before me but without standard features.
