The sound of the fog horn woke me from the shock of what had happened. David had left. We hadn’t heard a sound for over an hour since he exited the restaurant’s front door. From inside, all I could see was the white mist outside. I looked over at Bobbie. He just sat in the corner of the restaurant playing with a pen. Not really making any move. “I need to go after him!” I yelled at Bobbie. A thud came from the back room as one of those things hit the door again.
