My mystery mate

Chapter 13

Isla POV

It has been 2 days since I have had all the paperwork work on my father's disappearance. I have been locked inside his office reading and re reading everything. I have finally found a 2 mile radius that they could be holding him in. I haven't spoken to anyone in 2 day just the odd grunt as people put things on my desk. I haven't even spoken to Nick, saying that I don't even have his number. I try to work out a plan to rescue my father but I know I'm too close to this. I have never had to lead this many people on a mission this important. I have to get in touch with Nick. I hunt around my father's office, he has to have his number,  they've worked together. 

I find his old school address book. I turn to the S's and find Sinclare, Nick. Let's hope it's still the same number. I dial the number and it begins to ring. I hold my breath as it is answered "Nick Sinclare speaking" the voice on the other end says as I let out a girlish squeal. 

"Hi Nick" 

"Isla is that you, what aren't you calling my mobile?"

" I don't have your number, we never exchanged numbers" I say perplexed how could he have forgotten he hasn't given me his number? 

"It's saved in your phone I put it on there and said call if you needed anything" with that I grab my phone from my pocket and check. Low and behold it's there. 

"I don't remember you doing that"

" It was when I dropped you home. Well never mind that. What's the matter beautiful?" he says smoothly. I do love listening to him speak. 

"Am I able to call by your office I really need some help" 

"Of course I will clear my schedule for the rest of the day"

"Ow you don't need to do that if you're busy it can wait," I say not wanting to be a burden on him. 

"Nonsense I was looking for a reason to get out of meetings and I can't think of one better,  than for my mate" he says I can hear the need in his voice it takes by breath away, knowing someone wants to see me that badly.

"I will be there soon" I say trying to catch my breath.

"See you soon". 

I hang up and run to my room I suddenly realise I haven't showered or changed in 2 days and I stink. I run and jump into the shower to freshen up, it feels so good the water beating my skin. I wash my hair and tie it up in a messy bun on top of my head. I don't have time to dry and do something with it. I grab blue jeans and a pink cropped hoodie. I look over my appearance. Well this looks like a safe option I say to myself before I run to my car. I soon arrive outside his office building and make my way in. There's a new person standing behind the desk. I walk up to the gentle men with sandy blond hair "Hello I'm Jack how can I help" he says cheerily.  "Mr Sinclare is expecting me" 

"Take the lift to the top floor he says with a smile" 

"Thank you" I call back to him as I walk over to the elevator. Soon the doors open to the 2 ladies I saw last time except the one was down stairs. "Hello, Mr Sinclare is expecting me" 

The blond lady looks at me and says to her colleague “that's the girl I was telling you about all over him”. I stand there eyes wide waiting for the next line. "Come for round 2?" she says addressing me.

"Excuse me do you know who you are talking to" 

"Ye I do, just some wannabe Luna slut that knows the only way she will get that is to sleep with an Alpha" as she says that Nick opens his office door. 

"Isl," and before he can finish it I hold up my hand to silence him. Looking at me he sees that I'm serious.

"Please continue with your assumption of what I am. I would choose your next words very carefully as you are going to end up pack less”. 

She throws her head back laughing "really, everyone knows that Nicky doesn't have a mate and soon the moon goddess will pair the 2 of us after all I am his Beta." 

"Amanda I'm" Nick says as I put my hand up and glare at him once more letting out a growl. I push him onto the sofa in the waiting room. I see a smile cross his lips, he knows this next part is about to be good. 

"Anything else you care to add?" I ask provoking her more.

"Nicky dear you don't want a pack w***e like her you know it makes sense, toss the b***h away". An angry growl escapes his lip and he starts to get up. 

"Sit" I yell at him and he does. 

"b***h, You don't know the first thing about me I'm the Alpha of Lleuad Nos so I don't need to be Luna when I have my own pack. Also you are strongly mistaken, Nicky dear does have a mate." I turn, walk over and straddle him on the sofa leaning down and kissing him passionately. "I'm his mate" I climb off him and he stands behind me with his arms snaked around my waist as he inhales my scent. Amanda’s Jaw drops open.

"Im sorry Alpha I didn't mean any disrespect"

 "Amanda get off my floor you are now on ground floor reception you can send Jack up he will be my new personal receptionist. Now go" he commands as both women take their leave. 

"That was quite possibly the hottest thing ever" Nick breathes into my neck. 

"Well that's quite enough excitement don't you think". I wink and walk into his office I hear another low growl leave his lips. 

"I see you are a tease Miss Powell" he says following me in "what can I do for you beautiful?" He says sitting next to me on the large sofa in his office facing the amazing view. 

"It's my dad" I say with a sigh. He just sits and listens. "I have narrowed the search area to a 2 mile radius. But I need help with the next steps. I need a team to come with me to get him and I also need to leave some at home to protect the pack. I'm planning on going 2 days from now. They can't come outside during the day light so surely it's best to make our assault on them then. Once inside I want everyone teamed up taking out who ever the encounter be it rogues or vampires. Where as I will go find my father". He places his arm around me and pulls me in 

"Sounds like you have a very thorough plan. What is it that you want me to do?" 

"Will you come with me? I need the strongest people I know and you are one of them" I say with a timid smile. 

"Isla there is no way you would have gone without me that was completely out of the question". 

"Fancy a training session?" 

"When?" 

"Now. i haven't trained in a while. Meet me at my packs land, lets see how well you remember us spending time together as children. I give him a cheeky wink as I walk to the door making sure I wiggle my bum as I do. And it works. A growl escapes his lips, I turn to blow him a kiss and disappear. 

Nick's POV

It's been 2 days and no call. I'm starting to worry about Isla and Caesar is driving me mad pining and whimpering because he hasn't seen her. I have meetings after meetings lined up but I really don't want to go to them. I'm snapped back to reality when my office phone rings"Nick Sinclare speaking" I answer. on the other end of the line I hear a girlish squeal. 

"Hi Nick" 

"Isla is that you, what aren't you calling my mobile?"

" I don't have your number,  we never exchanged numbers" how could she have forgotten I had given her my number?

" it's saved in your phone I put it on there and said call if you needed anything"

" I don't remember you doing that"

"It was when I dropped you home. Well never mind that. What's the matter beautiful?" I say smoothly

" Am I able to call by your office I really need some help" 

"Of course i will clear my schedule for the reasons of the day"

"Ow you don't need to do that if you're busy it can wait," I know she doesn't want to feel like a border so a treasure her saying.

"Nonsense I was looking for a reason to get out of meetings and I can't think of one better than for my mate"

 I hear her gasp as she tries to say "I will be there soon" She says trying to catch her breath.

"See you soon" I add. 

I hang up and get to cancel all of the meetings. I call down to the main reception " Jack I have a beautiful redhead coming to see me send her straight up". 

“Yes, Mr Sinclare '' a short while later I get a call from Jack saying she was on her way up and how she really was a beautiful redhead. I suddenly here Isla's voice and she doesn't seem impressed 

"Excuse me do you know who you are talking to" 

"Ye I do just some wannabe be Luna slut that knows the only way she will get that is to sleep with an Alpha" Amanda says as I open my office door. 

"Isl," and before I  can finish she holds her hand up to silence me. Looking at her I can see that she's serious So I stay quiet. Isla pipes up with

Isla turns, walks over and straddles me on the sofa leaning down and kissing me passionately Caesar purrs in delight. "I'm his mate" she says climbing off me. I stand behind her with my arms snaked around her waist as I inhale her scent.

Now. i haven't trained in a while. Meet me at my packs land see how well you remember us spending time together as children. She gives me a gorgeous cheeky wink as she walks to the door making sure she wiggles that bum of hers.  And it works a growl escapes my lips again and she turns and blows me a kiss and disappears. 

This woman will be the death of me I'm sure. She is driving me crazy. "Jack" I bellow 

"Yes Mr Sinclare."

"I'm taking the rest of the day off to spend with my mate. Please take any calls and tell them I will get back to them when I can" 

"Yes Sir" he turns to walk out. 

"ow and Jack, call me Nick"

He smiles as he leaves to return to his new desk. 

As I leave I want to do something nice for Isla so I stop via the Jewlers. In the window is a necklace of a crescent moon with a stone the same colour as her eyes. That's the one.
