Chapter 23

579 Words
A FEW MONTHS LATER "So where are you going for college?" Benjamin asked the now 18 year old Lillian. Today is the last day of high school for both Riley and Lillian. Riley was excited to go to college and become a detective like she always wanted. "Bulgaria I guess." Lillian replied. She has become closer to the family. Still distant but a tiny bit closer. The reason she chose that country was because it was cheap and affordable. She can live and study there and still have a lot of money left. "Me too." Riley chimed in. Lillian frowned at that. It's not that she didn't like Riley it's just that she wanted to live alone. "You can't go there, the laws are different for both the countries. You won't be able to work here then." Stacy pointed out. "Oh." Riley said looking upset and brought the waffle to her lips. "Well then I can work in Bulgaria." She said, her eyes lighting up once more. Stacy and Benjamin both looked hurt at her statement. "I will find a college in America." Lillian gulped down the saliva in her throat and said. The thing is, she can afford to study in America but compared to the European country and America, she would have a lot lesser money in her bank. But she couldn't separate their daughter from them. They have treated her so well! "Thank you." Benjamin breathed out, looking pleased and thankful. Lillian nodded her head. "So which cook do you want to take with you?" Benjamin asked after a few minutes. "I can cook." Lillian blurted out before Riley replied. She didn't want anyone else to live with them. Stacy looked surprised at the revelation. It's true that Lillian can cook. After Markus was done using her body she always felt hungry and the house didn't have any cooked food and she didn't feel like eating junk food everyday so she learned to cook. It wasn't that hard- she just followed the recipe and most of time, they were delicious. "Can you cook something for us?" Riley asked with an excited smile. "Reminds me of your father." Stacy started. "I heard he won your mother's heart by his delicious foods. He even owns several famous restaurants!" "Sorry." She apologized, realizing she got carried away. Ahh a restaurant owner, so that's what he does. Well she finally knows what her father does. 2 MONTHS LATER "Are you really gonna go?" Issac asked Lillian as he stuffed another box full of Riley's things in the car. Lillian nodded her head. She had gotten really close to Issac though she still doesn't reciprocate his feelings and she doubted she'd ever reciprocate it. But she doesn't keep him at an arms length like she does his family, maybe except Riley. "If you need anything. I'm only a call away." "More like a plane away." Riley said coming out of nowhere. Issac rolled his eyes at her. "You have a lot of shit." He complained. "We will miss you." Benjamin said looking emotional. "I will miss you too." Riley said as she engulfed him into a bear hug. Her father hugged her back tightly and whispered sweet words into her ear and about how much they are gonna miss her. After saying goodbye to everyone, they got into the back of the car. The driver was gonna drop them at the airport and Benjamin accompanied them. So this was it, huh?
