Chapter Two

[You/Aria] "Huh?" At RM's words, you jerked your head up to look at each other, disbelief in your eyes. [Jin] "The Empire's military school is the best place for you, and you can also visit that brother of yours on the way." [You/Aria] "And I can come back to see you guys?" You know the situation you're in, leaving the Federation for the Empire is undoubtedly safe, but the thought of complete strangers and that brother you've never met makes you a little hesitant. [RM] "Scared?" RM's large palm covers the top of your hair as if he's worried about rubbing your hairstyle, only letting it sit for a moment and not making the next move. [RM] "Don't be scared, you have your brother." You've always been afraid of RM, perhaps it was to suppress those old farts of the Federation, he had developed an aura of nonchalance. All RM had to do was stand there, and it made people want to be in awe. You obeyed him and feared him. But RM also gives you a sense of calm security, and sometimes his words carry more weight than Jin's in your heart. [Jin] "Aria, you will be a commander to be proud of, Jin believes in you." Jin reached out to you. Jin redeemed you, but Jin loved you first. Your young, barren soul was lifted up by the sea called him, and from that day on you thought about becoming the second commander to be remembered. So you held out your hand, the palm of which was a little damp at the moment because of your long grip on the gun. Jin is weak, and you haven't seen him hold a gun since that time, but his hand is still long and strong. Jin takes your hand and rubs his thumb over your muzzle. [Jin] "Then get ready, it's time to go." [RM] "In such a hurry?" [You/Aria] "Good." Jin is a person who is soft on the outside and kind on the inside, but his heart is actually tougher than anyone else, while RM is the opposite of him. You're dabbling in a little bit of both, so you're hardened like a little hedgehog from time to time. You know Jin's heart is hard, so you're just as hard as you can be. (time change) It took you two days to prepare. In fact, what could have been solved in one day was only postponed to the next day because RM was a bit reluctant. [You/Aria] "Will you miss me?" You stood in front of the academy looking at the two people who refused to get down from the car with some reluctance. Because of the position of the Federation and the Empire, RM and Jin weren't supposed to be here, but in order to send you off , the two still came to the Empire's boundary. [Jin] "Will do, will miss my Aria a lot." [RM] "Ahem, I'll try to take some time out of my day to think of you." The sunlight was blinding that afternoon, and the young girl's smile flooded into poetry as much as her naive ideals. It would be a long time before he realized that you were the rose of the gilded years, the moonlight that grew between the gaps in his bones. As you turn and prepare to leave, Jin calls out to you again. [Jin] "No early love, report to your brother if you have a favorite." The fine sunlight sprinkled into the compartment, cutting into two seasons from Jin's high nose, half of his face hidden in the darkness, you couldn't accurately judge Jin's complexion. You know, Jin is your girl's heart, the unattainable moon. Now that you're parting, you don't know when you'll see her again, and your heart still throbs. [You/Aria] "...... know it." [RM] "I said hello to V. Remember to get along with V." Standing at the entrance of the school, you watched the two of you leave on the bus before you reluctantly walked into the campus. And just like that, you started a period of study that you'll never forget. After placing your luggage on the robot in charge of check-in, you followed the directions in the enrollment booklet to find your class and were given a uniform. [You/Aria] "It's number nine." You looked at the badge on the front of the uniform and learned your number. Then you followed the flow of people to the school auditorium. The presenter, who was supposed to have a ready-made script, always got stuck, and before you could joke about it, you heard a familiar name. [Host] "I would like to invite Admiral V to deliver a message to the students." As V slowly walks up to the podium, you get a full view of him. Your older brother, whom you have never met before, has a stunning appearance. You hear a number of people around you sucking in their breath backwards, presumably all in awe of God's masterpiece. If there had to be one person who wowed the time, it was definitely V. You hold your breath in anticipation of what he will say. Only to see V walk up to the lectern and lean slightly into the microphone, his tone flat as if he was giving some kind of announcement. [V] "I hope you all made it to the end." A short sentence that seems to summarize the scribbling life you're about to begin. V stepped down from the stage, dryly as if he had never been there. You reflect on V's earlier speech, and the more you realize that this Jin family is really more handsome than the others. The ceremony is followed by fellowship, which helps broaden your friendships. You peer down the hall, and immediately afterward a man catches your attention. He's white, a somewhat sickly looking white, but the muscular lines of his arms counter that idea just enough. He's tall, yet unusually slim, and can't help but remind you of Kim Suk-jin. But his whole body is warm and bright, like warm jade that has been finely carved. His fingers are long and slender, his head is lowered as he tinkers with a Rubik's Cube, and his eyelashes are trembling like a butterfly's wings opening and closing. [You/Aria] "Who's that?" You ask a passing classmate for information about him. [?] "That's Suga, and our instructor, he's super good at theory class." You secretly memorized his name and laughed at the interesting person you met today. [You/Aria] "How come no one went to him?" [????] "He stinks, who would dare go up there." You listen to the other person and turn your head to look at the corner spot again only to find that the person has left. Walking over to where he had been, there was a piece of spelled out Rubik's Cube quietly placed there. You pick up the cube and get lost in thought. Afterward you couldn't even find Kim Taehyung at the meeting and, a little anxious, you casually asked a passing classmate. [You/Aria] "Classmate, do you know where Admiral V. has gone?" [????] "There's no need for him to attend this kind of ball, he should have gone out a long time ago." You leave the ballroom only to realize that it's even bigger outside and you don't even know which door to go out. After a lot of effort you finally see V. He was standing under the moon, staring blankly, his back as lonely as a bluebird, his windblown hair like a bird's feathers. [V] "Aria?" You subconsciously take a moment to stand at attention. [You/Aria] "Here!" Finally, V turns around and looks at you. [V] "You look better than I thought." The simple words came out of V's mouth unexpectedly well, making your ears ring. But the unruffled look on V's face makes you sweat again. Is this good to get along with ...... You smiled at V and took it as a genuine compliment. [You/Aria] "Brother, brother looks good too." Unexpectedly, V turned his face sideways the moment he heard you speak. You looked curiously, only to find him reddening the tips of his ears. [You/Aria] Tease. "Brother, your ears are red ......" [V] "Ahem, you're looking at it wrong, it's a little hot ......" You take him for a stiff upper lip, but you find V interesting like this.
