I also needed to run. My father also knew all this. He knew, and he also hid it from me. I was angry and hurt because I felt betrayed by the man who taught me to always be honest. He taught me that family comes first and that his loyalty lies with his family. That had been his biggest lie. His loyalty was to his alpha. All these years, and he had the power, the knowledge to stop Ryker from leaving.
From what Ryker had told me about all the stuff he went through since age 16, he didn't get to enjoy his years as a normal teenager. He had to grow up too quickly. From the sounds of it, he didn't have a good childhood either. He wasn't allowed to play with us, and now we knew why. They kept moving around with those girls. Their parents' priority was those girls.
