- Jace's POV -
I sadly awoke to the sound of pelting rain and thunder. I tried to move as I felt the presence of someone's body around me. Anna had me locked in a cage of her own body somehow. Her cheek was pressed on top of my head, one leg down the side of my body while the other was hooked over my stomach. Her arm was slipped under my neck and her right hand was across my chest. I've never felt like this, felt so protected in Anna's possessive grip.
She stirred all night. Tossing and turning into rather exotic sleep positions. I was confused when she drunkenly admitted she didn't sleep, mostly at fall sleep at school. The wild memories from last night started to flood my head. I didn't drink that much, only mouthfuls from Anna's drinks. But Anna was hammered. At least she slept, only for 5 hours though. We got home around 1am and it's now 6 in the morning.
I remember the eventful night, Anna flipping out, the pain of rejection, her trying to slip off that impossibly tight dress. Anna didn't seem too care going to bed with only her bra and panties on. But the one thing that burned my brain as much as the thought of her body against mine, was the lingering scars across the left side of her body. If anyone hurt her, I don't think I could handle it, especially my wolf.
Before I could act, lightening cracked, stirring Anna from sleep. She grumbled as she went to roll over my body, switching sides. But I stopped her, gripping her legs and settling her on top of me. She shoved her head into my neck, wrapping her arms around my neck, straddling my body. I looked down to her back to see a large pattern of ink down her spine. I couldn't stop myself from moving my hands up and down the design, tracing her tattoo of the moon cycle on her spine. My hands then lingered to the left side of her body, to those monstrous scars marring her tanned skin. Goose bumps appeared on her skin as she shivered. She slowly lifted her head, bringing her hands to temple.
"Ow." She slowly whimpered, rubbing her head. Anna finally met my eyes. She lifted her fingers tracing my brows, then my lips. It was my turn to shiver. She laughed.
"Pretty eyes." She giggled. I couldn't help but smile at her stupid nickname. But I also couldn't help the smile that found its way on her face.
"What time is it?" She asked in a hoarse voice. Probably from yelling.
"Around 6." I replied, looking down at her back.
"You like?" She asked smugly. Of course, I did. I couldn't help but stare at her.
"Obviously." I countered, even more smug. She rolled her eyes so far, I thought they could get stuck in the back of her skull. She pressed her hands on my chest, slowly rising. She sat up, still straddling my body. She rubbed her tired eyes, running a hand through her wild hair. She looked down at me, then at herself to discover what she was wearing. She looked at her black, lacy bra and matching panties, to look back at me and her eyes widened accusingly. I put my hands up, surrendering.
"Not my fault, you insisted." I answered. She inclined her head to the side confusingly. I put my hands down and reached for her waist, making myself comfortable.
"All I remember was you being a little b***h last night and taking off that stupid dress." She rambled, frowning as she rubbed her eyes once again. I circled my fingers over her hips, almost forgetting to reply.
"You kept tossing and turning last night, I barely slept." I poked her stomach. She squirmed and took my hands, trailing them up her body. She placed them on her ribs, on her tattoo. I felt my eyes darken; I don't like it when she teases me. It makes my wolf restless. I had to force him not to mark her when we first met.
I started to go hard. Anna laughed and moved herself against my manhood. I tried to sit up but she pushed me down and spread back out on my chest. I groaned in frustration as she laughed. She started to trace her fingers over my tattoo on my shoulders.
"Sorry for waking you." I said after a few minutes of silence.
"It's okay, I probably would have woken up anyway." She sighed. I couldn't stop myself from taking in her scent. She smelled like citrus and peppermint. My brows scrunched together in confusion.
"Anna? Why can't you sleep?" I asked, tracing up and down her spine. I felt her freeze on top of my body. She then propped herself up on her elbows and looked into my eyes.
"You have pretty eyes." She said, head on her hands. I groaned and chucked my head back.
"Don't change the subject, answer my question." I complained. She always does this to try and make me forget I was saying, but I'm naturally curious.
"Doing what?" Anna smiled cheekily. She started to trace the swirls of ink on my ribs. I was going to have to take a long, cold shower. I got up, pressing her chest into mine. Pulling her front down into my hard-on.
"Distracting me." I growled, canines out. I put them on her jaw, nipping and kissing down towards her neck. I heard her gasp at the contact. I licked the spot between her neck and collar bone, right where I would mark her. I removed them, about to repeat my question when she grabbed my face and crashed her lips on mine. I couldn't help but open my lips for her. She hungrily moved her tongue around my mouth. She then bit my bottom lip, drawing blood. I felt the dull pain of her tongue licking it clean.
"Why does Izzy call you Bell?" She asked grinning.
"Not telling." I responded a little too fast, hoping she would forget instead. Anna sat back on my lower half, purposely, sighing in disappointment. I groaned at the contact. Like the devil she is, she looked me right in the eyes as she nestled further into my crotch. I growled, reaching my head to hers to kiss her. But she pulled to the side and kissed my cheek instead.
"I'm going to have a shower." She simple stated as she deliberately grind herself against my length once again. I stared, raging after her. Anna turned to laugh at me again as she made her way to the bathroom. I got off the bed and ran after her. But she sprinted to the bathroom and locked the door behind her. I growled, banging on the door but soon gave up as I got a mind-link form Izzy.
"Shut up, will you?" I heard her complain in my head.
"Can you bring some clothes up for Anna."
"Yes, Bell." She replied, using my annoying nickname. If Anna ever found out my first name, I would never hear the end of it. 5 minutes later Izzy knocked on the door and I opened it to find a pile of clothes in her hands. She let herself in and sat on the bed. She was more like a little annoying sister than a nagging cousin.
"I'm stuffed from last night." She said, rubbing her neck. I chuckled in her face and stood in front of her mockingly.
"Maybe you shouldn't drink so much, you almost puked in my car." I smirked.
"I should of." She grumbled, frowning.
"I'm still going to school; Anna has to as well." She stated.
"I know." I groan as she walked back out into the hall. I wish I could stay in bed with Anna forever, but her parents would find out if she wasn't at school.
10 minutes later, Anna comes out wrapped in a towel, her hair soaking. My mouth dried up but started drooling for her body at the same time. How? I didn't even know.
Anna smirked, noticing my arousal. She eyed me as she bent to picked up the clothes and stalking back to the bathroom. This girl was going to be the death of me, I thought as I fell back onto the bed.

- Anna's POV -
After fun teasing Jace this morning, I was determined to do it all day. I pulled on the black jeans and red shirt from Izzy. I was thankful we had the same style and were basically the same size. I flung open the door to step by Jace as he entered the shower. I tried so hard not to pounce on him right here, right now as he gave me a lingering look. I huffed at myself in annoyance. How was I supposed to ignore him all day when all I wanted was to jump on bis bones? This was going to be impossible! Almost. I was most certain that I would carry this on all day, the whole week if I had to. To show him that he needed me as much as he thought I needed him.
I stole earphones from Jace's room to plug into my phone to play music. I plugged them in my phone and waited for him to get out of the shower. It only took him 5 minutes before he opened the door and stepped out on the steamy room. The towel hung low off his hips, showing off his V-line. I shamelessly looked him up and down, looking at each of his many abs on his muscled body. My eyes lingered up to his sickening tattoo on his ribs and shoulders. Then I met his eyes and saw his half smile and I quickly look back to my phone and continue to message Danny, my face instantly flushing. Turns out, he was really enjoying his car and I was so happy for him.
I really missed all my friends in Kingston. I went through the photos on my phone to find a few from last night. Most were videos and photos with Katie, drunkenly dancing around and drinking. I swiped across to find a photo of me and Jace. I abruptly sat up. When the hell did that happen? He walked out of his closet to pull a white shirt over his head, visibly showing his muscles. Knock it off Anna! There are more important things than this godly looking man in front of you!
I shoved my phone in my pocket and turned my phone up to max volume as the song ended. I caught sight of my slightly red and scratched knuckles, then the memory of that piece of s**t r****t came to my mind. I frowned and flung the door open, Jace so close behind me I could feel his body heat. A radio edits of 'Feel so close' by Calvin Harris and I started to mumble the lyrics. I turned to see Jace chuckling at me. I knew that the song was really loud that you could hear it from the earphones. We got to the stairs by the time I was dancing. Jace was smiling at me so I decided to take his hands in mine, twirling myself around. We made it to the Kitchen to find Izzy slumped over a plate of bacon and pancakes. She stood up to get water and I took her hands and started dancing. She laughed as I turned her around in my arms. Soon after I ate a plate of bacon and eggs, I was out the door and sitting in Jace's grey Mercedes Benz.
"I'm stealing these." I told Jace, motioning to the earphone as I sat in the passenger seat.
"Go for it." He smirked. I automatically plugged my phone into the aux in his car. I secretly loved how comfortable I was with him. We pulled out of the driveway and started the journey to school. 'Castles' by Freya Ridings started to play. Izzy and I started singing and dancing. Jace was secretly trying to hide his smiling, but I knew he loved it. More than 5 minutes later he was grinning at the fun Izzy and I were having. A few more minutes later and we pulled into the school parking lot with 10 minutes to spare. Jace stepped out of the car almost as soon as the car stopped. I unplugged my phone from the aux and put my stolen earphones in. 'My Gun' by The Rubens started playing. I opened the door and got out of the car to lean on the door. My plans were ruined when a pair of muscled arms snaked around my waist and pulled me back onto a warm chest. I turned my head to feel Jace's lips, kissing my neck and shoulder.
"That's for this morning." He stated, nuzzling his head into my hair to take in my scent.
"Cut it out you two." Izzy complained. I laughed as I leaned more into Jace's touch unintentionally. I let myself stay there, knowing I probably won't feel it again after the s**t I'm going to pull today. Reese pulled in his car up with Esme.
"Evie doesn't suspect anything." Reese told me. I unwrapped Jace's hands to hug him.
"Thank the Goddess." I mumbled. He laughed deeply as I pulled back. I frowned as I pinched his cheeks.
"You've grown up, brother." I muttered more to myself. He pulled back, annoyed by my sisterly gesture.
"Some more than others." He fired back, poking my nose piercing. I hit him on the side of the head, and he groaned, rubbing his head. He turned to Esme for help.
"You’re such a baby." She scoffed, crossing her arms and pouting. She tried to walk away but Reese grabbed her small body and brought it to his. She huffed in annoyance but turned to hug him back anyway. I chuckled at them mucking around. Then I realised that Jace and I were worse, yelling and fighting all the time. The rest of our group started to walk up to us, kicking me out of my thoughts.
"Anna! You badass Luna." Mike explained with open arms while being trailed by Aiden, Sophie and Katie.
"Last night’s party was siiickkk!" Katie slurred, hands in the air. "And you made it better by beating Luke's ass!" She said as she came over to me and hugged me tight. That was the only time Jace let me out of his grip as he pulled me back to nuzzle into my neck.
I turned my head to whisper. "You’re the real baby." He laughed at my teasing like it was nothing.
I rolled my eyes to face the group. They were all talking when about last night’s events when I saw a car park across the lot. I eyed the vehicle when a familiar piece of s**t stepped out of his equally piece of s**t car. I take that back; his car was actually pretty cool. But anyway, I growled and lurched forward, to only be held back by Jace. I was starting to get pissed about his protectiveness. It wasn't like I was going to kill him. Maybe hit him a couple of times. The group looked confused as they turned to follow my gaze. Mike made a noise of understanding, turning at me to nod his head.
"Let it go." Jace grumbled that I could practically see his frown. But it was too late. I kicked him in the shin, no regrets, and started to make a move for Luke. He turned his head, eyes wide. He must have heard me growl. Reese lifted me off the ground, whisking me away from the situation. I finally managed to pushed his arms off and tried to stalk over to the worm on the ground. He tried to reach for me again, but I gave him a look that said, don't try it. He backed away. I glanced to see Jace, shaking in rage with Aiden whispering in his ear, his eyes never leaving me. I leaned over to Luke on the ground, making sure my eyes were blazing a near white.
"You are nothing but a grovelling worm and I hate you." My eyes started stinging. Memories from the past started to rush through my head. Memories I vowed I would keep locked in a vault that I shoved, deep, deep down from the surface of my mind. I took a step forward before I felt a hand on my back. A familiar scent filled my nostrils. Jace then turned me to face him. I took one breath of relief, closing my eyes.
"Let it go, you can tell me later. Just let it go Anna." He basically whispered, reading my mind like a book. I went limp and fell into his chest. I didn't want to tell him. That means I would have to think about it. I simply nodded before I moved to face the grovelling worm on the ground. He looked ashamed, so he should. I spat on him and then his face paled completely. I began walking back to Jace's car to grab my bag. By then, the bell and rung so I turned and grabbed Katie's hand and headed to History for first period. When we got to the door of the classroom, she pulled me into a hug. She explained that if I ever needed to talk to her about anything, she would be there. I was so grateful to have people like her in my life. I knew I would need them.
