Chapter 27 (Third Person POV – Darius) The throne room was quiet. Too quiet. Silence usually brought Darius peace. It gave him room to think, to hear every distant howl carried through the mountains and every heartbeat inside the fortress. Tonight, however, the silence felt wrong.
