(Third Person POV - Alpha Darius Nightbane) The Nightbane hall was carved into stone and shadow. Torches burned low along the walls, throwing long black shapes across the floor. The air smelled of cold iron and old pine. Outside, the wind cut through the peaks of the Nightbane mountains and made the banners snap. Darius Nightbane sat on the obsidian throne. He was not a large man. He didn’t need to be. The gray coat fit him like a second skin. The silver pin at his collar caught the torchlight. His hair was black and cut sharp at the jaw. His eyes were like winter……pale and unwinking. At the foot of the dais stood his seer. An old blind woman with veins of silver in her hair like moonlight. Her hands shook around a bowl of water. Inside the water, nothing yet. “Speak,” Darius said
