I remained in the kitchen, my hands moving on autopilot as I continued chopping vegetables. The rhythmic sound of the knife against the wooden cutting board did little to calm the storm inside me. My heart was still racing from the brief moment I had locked eyes with Kieran. It had been years, but the memory of him still burned in my mind.
He was here.
And he was getting engaged.
I thought he would marry Aria. She had made it seem inevitable when I was still at the Shadowfang Pack. The way she clung to him, the way she looked at me with victorious eyes, had convinced me she would be his future Luna. But now, there was another woman. One with soft curls and dazzling green eyes.
