Not Your Typical Thug (Book 1)

Karma laid curled up in a ball, with her arms holding her stomach. Its her time of the month, and the cramps seem to be getting worse by the second. Its been a few days after she went to see Dion in the hospital, and since then she's been going everyday. But today was the exception. She sent Kacy out to her ginger ale and a heating pad for her, and since he's basically an hour away from civilization, as Karma puts it, its taking him awhile to return. Small wimpers escaped her mouth and they seemed to help the pain, so she continued until she felt dirty and disgusting. Pulling herself out the bed, she walked to the bathroom and took a hot shower, letting the water run through her hair.

Karma knew her hair would get wild and curly once it dried, but at that moment she didn't care. The water washed away her pain slightly. Enough so she could walk without having to hunch over. After she showered, she took her pain free time to wrap herself in a towel and her hair, then go downstairs and make something quick to eat. Settling on shrimp pasta, she ate slowly, not wanting to stuff herself then walked back into the bedroom and threw on Kacy's shirt and underwear with a pad.

"Ugh" she groaned, feeling the pain return. As if her prayers were answered, she heard the front door open and Kacy jog up the stairs. "Thank you Jesus" she mumbled.

The door was pushed open and Kacy walked in with a CVS bag full of pads, wipes and a heating pad just like Karma asked for. "I left the ginger ale downstairs."

"Bring it up. No ice please" she said plugging up the heating pad. She laid it on her stomach, over the shirt and waited until it got hot. "Finally" she smiled, already feeling slightly better.

Kacy walked back into the room with a can of ginger ale, and a plate of food for himself. "This pasta good ma" he mumbled, taking a seat in the bed. "The heatin pad helpin?"

"Yea" she said taking a sip of the ginger ale "Thanks babe"

"No problem" he leaned over and pecked her lips but gave her a look "You wearing my white shirt when you bleedin?" He asked her, mugging her.

"Sorry, but its the first thing I saw"

"And I got white sheets. Man, don't f**k round and move the wrong way" he warned "You will be washin my s**t while you crampin"

"You wouldn't do that to me" Karma smiled at me "Kiss?" She puckered her lips out.

Kacy chuckled and pecked her lips "Everybody sayin you turned me soft" he said, putting food in his mouth "What you think?"

Karma slowly sat up and wiped the sides of his mouth "I don't think so. But I do think you're smiling more. I have that affect on people"

"You so damn cocky" he shook his head "But I think you changin me. Honest. I ain't never been this happy before, and I ain't never care fa' someone as much as I care fa' you"

Karma looked over at him then the TV "Kacy I don't know how I feel about you. I know I like you a lot, and care for you. But I think your feelings are more in depth then mine"

"I already caught on ta' that baby girl. It bothered me at first, but I know everyone different, feel me? It might take you a lil longer ta' care fa' me like I care fa' you, and I'm cool with that. Like I tol' you baby, I'll be patient with you"

Karma smiled a little "I appreciate that Kacy. And another thing. I may not have such deep feelings like you, but I do see us going far with this. You might not think so, but we both have a major problem. Mine, is my insecurities and yours is being open. You're a compassionate nigga, and could compliment me all day, helping with my insecurities. And I'm patient and trusting, that'll help you with being open with me. You see?"

Kacy nodded and set his plate to the side "I feel you ma. And I see what you sayin too. We can go far with this, long as we honest bout everything with each other and communicate. I think those two of the most important things in a relationship. Love just come along with all that"

"How so?" Karma asked.

"If you trust in somebody so much, and they bein honest bout everything with you and y'all feel comfortable talking bout everything, the love would just flow right in, whether we know it or not"

"So you love me?"

"Ion know. Honest. I care fa' you a lot and feelin you a lot. But I ain't never been in love, so ion know what it feel like"

"Oh I see" Karma mumbled, sitting up against the head board " I think we'll know if we in love. It'll feel like something different and a high feeling. I'm sure you know what that feel like" She laughed. Kacy joined her.

"Yea you right. I guess, we'll just have to wait and see what happen"

The crew sat around Morgans huge dining room table with Chris, Wayne and Ed. People standing around the room had connections with José, or worked under him as hit men, snitches or hoes. Dion was able to get out of the hospital early, due to everything being ok, so when he was able to attend the meeting he was beyond happy. Everyone was sitting around, casually talking and laughing. Just getting to know each other, while Karma, Ash and Kat were in the kitchen cooking food.

"I can't believe this s**t will finally be over" Ash said "After this, I'm going to find me a man and settle down. Maybe some kids, and I'll be out this life"

"I call bridesmaids" Karma and Kat said at the same time then laughed "What about you Kat?" Karma asked.

She sighed then smiled a little "I met someone"

"What?" Ash yelled.

"Who?"

"His name is-"

"Hold on" Karma laughed "He? Thought you liked girls" she narrowed her eyes at Kat.

"I do, well I did." She shrugged.

"Hoes be like I'm gay one week, pregnant the next, and a dike the third" Ash joked, making both Kat and Karma to bust out laughing "But we're meeting him"

"Yea, need to check and see if he's right for us"

"For y'all? Y'all ain't fuckin him" Kat said.

"And neither will you if we don't like him" Ash pointed out. "Now on to Ms.Kacy" she smiled at Karma.

"What y'all got planned after this over?"

Karma shrugged as she made the plates "I'm not sure, you know. We never really talked about that. But I'm not worried, I'm living the now"

"Quoting books and s**t" Kat giggled as she made the drinks. "Alright, we ready?"

"Yea, let's go" Ash said grabbing a few plates. The girls walked out and laid a plate in front of everyone, and handed a plate to everyone standing up.

Karma made sure she passed Kacy a plate first, and kissed his lips then passed one to Dion, Slim and Morgan. Ash took care of passing out a few of the other plates and Kat made sure everyone had a plate. Karma ended up cooking fried conch with lemon, and fries.

After the girls for their plate and drink, they took a seat at the table and joined in the casual conversation with everyone. After everyone finished, Karma went around and grabbed everyone's trash so the meeting could start.

"Iight so before anyone says anything, I need ta' know who usually does what so I can put ya ta' work at what ya' good at" Kacy said, as he tapped the pen against the table.

He glanced at the first guy he's never seen before. "Alright, I'm Rick. I'm a sniper and my partners are Micky, Joc and Shawn"

Kacy nodded as he wrote that down. Then the next person went.

"Hey, I'm Tara. I'm usually the one to lure guys in and make them think I want them, before blowing their brains or leaving a door open so others could. And my girls are Bubbles and Candy. My play name is Tootsie"

Kacy also wrote that down.

"I'm Jason, and I specialize in shooting hand guns and rifles. But I can also box a nigga out if needed"

"Ya work with anyone?" Kacy asked. Jason shook his head.

"I'm Janey. I'm good with computers and basically anything electronic"

"I'm Terry and the one that could come off as trustworthy to people, and then listen on what they got going, then tell you"

"Ed, Chris and Wayne. Can y'all shoot?" Kacy asked. All 3 nodded. "Iight cool. Things lookin up fa' us. I originally had a plan set up, but it ain't gon work with so many of us. So that's what we need"

Kacy, Slim, Morgan, Ash, Kat and Dion all looked at Karma, and she raised an eyebrow "I have to do it. Don't I?"

"Ya the only one that's smart enough ta' do it, and work out the kinks too baby. So yea, ya do. "

She took the note book out Kacy's hand and walked upstairs to a guest room. She flipped through the notebook until she found the map the crew made a few weeks ago, and tore it out for reference.

Scratching her scalp with the pen, she sighed and looked back and forth between each papers.

Thought after thought, plan after plan popped into her head. She quickly wrote them down before she forgot. Looking down at the paper of thoughts and ideas, they seemed to have nothing to do with each other until she put them in order. The plan is to break everyone up into groups. The three snipers hide out on buildings close to Smokey's trap, but stay out of sight. Since there's two exit doors at Smokey's trap, Rick and Micky could be on a building in front of the trap, in case people escape from there. And Joc and Shawn would be on a building behind the trap, in case people escape from there. Before anyone does anything, Candy, Bubbles and Tootsie could pop up in their sexist uniform and say they showed up for the party. Of course, there is no party but no man would turn down three woman who's willing to have a good time.

Once the girls are in, Bubbles will make sure she lures the guards with her, giving Candy time to make sure the main door in unlocked. After an hour or so after the girls are in, Jason, Ed, Chris, Wayne and Terry would stand by the front door. Jason and Ed in front, Chris in the middle and Wayne and Terry in the back. Like Karma explained before, the formation helps with the effectiveness. Morgan, Kacy, Slim, Ash, and Kat will be standing behind the first group and they'd all enter the trap together in the same formation. Jason's group will enter first, and slowly and discreetly walk down the first hallway. Getting rid of everyone and when they come to the room Bubbles, Candy and Tootsie are in, the girls will join them in getting rid of everyone. Kacy's group will go down the second hallway, that leads to Smokey's office getting rid of everyone in that hallway. Smokey will most likely run out the back since the exit room is in his office. Either Joc and Shawn will get him, or Kacy's group.

Janey will hack into Smokeys security system and will be able to track where people are by their body heat. Her and Karma will have two separate computer screens and will be able to see everyone inside the building. Karma will have a microphone in hand, speaking to Kacy's team, who has a chip in their ear, and telling the how many people are approaching while Janey will be doing the same for Jason's team who also have a chip in their ear. Karma looked around the room after explaining the plan to everyone. They all had approving faces, and Karma smiled wide.

"Ya did good baby" Kacy smiled, pulling her down for a kiss.
